Worst RV Park I've ever been to. The entire experience was horrible. Driving up to the RV park, you have miles of homeless encampments with tons of litter everywhere. The park is kept somewhat clean, however, we were right next to some folks who lived in the park and they had us up at 4am talking right outside of our RV. On top of that, all night long, motorcycles and cars were speeding/racing by. They advertise security, but the only thing in the security booth at the entrance was a camera system. Residents come in and out of the park all night long and we didn't sleep much here due to street noise and noise from the residents who lived there. I tried communicating with the staff but that went no where quickly and was treated like it was my fault that we had the back luck of picking this gross RV park. They should state that there is a small number of spaces for overnighters and you are surrounded by the regulars that live there. On top of that, there was a car parked in front of our RV in the morning, making it difficult to even leave. Since no one responded to our message from owner/managers, we tried to dispute the charge, but the slum lords that own this place didn't even bother to contact us. If you are planning on RV'ing to the bay area, please avoid this terrible place. I will warn my network of friends and family to find another place to stay as this is the worst I have even seen in 20 years of RV'ing. I am baffled by the fake reviews that are put up by the folks that live there day to day as if they are travelers versus live ins. The reviews are so obvious as there's a bunch recently that were clearly written by those who live there. Buying reviews? Don't take my word for it. See it for yourself and tell me this is a 5 star experience as the other reviews show. One review even shows 5 stars but a bad review. How does that work? One of the biggest rip offs in...
Read moreI can't believe the unprofessional manner in which the management operates at this place. I made a reservation in April for an rv stay in January- May on their website, needing to provide our bank card in order to do so. After visiting the park in August we decided to stay somewhere else. The park was run down and did not look anything like the pictures on the website. I cancelled the reservation by email in November, 2 months prior to our arrival. I didn't hear anything so I called to confirm the cancellation a week later. The employee said they were going to have to charge me a day stay as a cancellation fee. I didn't think this was fair because the canceling policy on their website states "Our cancellation policy is 7 days prior to your arrival. If you need to cancel the reservation, you must cancel 7 days prior to your arrival to avoid the one day of stay charges." I asked to speak to the manager and the employee said he would have to call me the next day. Rather than a phone call, I was charged $106.50. After several failed attempts, I finally got a hold of the manager, Chu. He was very unprofessional saying that he couldn't refund the money because it was for a large site. No where on the website was this stated. He said if we wanted to dispute the charges to take it up with our bank and hung up on me. I was furious! So I disputed the charges and was given the money back from our bank. Now, two months later, I find another charge for $106.50 to Candlestick Rv Park! We are again disputing the charges and have since had to cancel our card to prevent any further transactions. How and why is this aloud to happen? Both of these charges were not authorized, fraudulent and against their own stated policy on their website. The only thing we can do is to file a police report but we know that's not going to go anywhere. DO NOT RESERVE HERE OR GIVE ANY FINANCIAL...
Read moreThis is by far the worst RV park experience we have had in the states. We stayed here purely because there was nowhere else available at the last minute and now I see why. We have a self-sustained campervan so only required a 'tent' site, which turned out to be a car space and about 5 ft square patch of grass in front of the car- thank goodness we didn't have a tent to squeeze on there! All the big rigs were also in carpark style spaces with no room for awnings, slideouts or even just a couple of chairs, with barely a few feet in between each rig. On our second night there was a concert on at Candlestick Park and the RV park became what it really is- a parking lot. There were cars squeezed in to every nook and cranny you can imagine. The noise of the concert didn't bother me at all, it was the hundred people trying to get out of the parking lot from about 11.30pm-2.30am. Also when everyone was arriving for the concert, suddenly there were a ton of people using the RV park's restrooms, just by waiting outside until someone else with a key opened it for them. During this time all the gates were open and my partner saw a homeless guy wandering about the place as well. None of this made us feel very safe and we suddenly understood why the place is covered with signs accepting no responsibility for anything that's stolen. The shuttle bus is a nice service to have as it saves everyone driving into the city and paying for parking, but for the price of the RV park it really should be free instead of $12 per person per round trip. The restrooms are clean enough but for the price of this park I expected 5-star (which is what they claim themselves to be). We have had nicer stays in walmarts and rest stops. Do...
