Pier 80 — Attraction in San Francisco

Music festivals are one of the biggest platforms for vegan food. You are not preaching to the choir but giving options to a crowd that might not have had any interest in vegan food prior to seeing a long line at a vegan vendor. Goldenvoice continues to curate the best food and beverage experiences in the game and Portola Festival was another example.

The vegan food curation is always top tier which encourages more vendors to add festival exclusive vegan options. The special bars always add a great experience to the festival. Sometimes it’s a speakeasy. This time it was the Robot Bar, an ode to Daft Punk.

This was a remote cruise ship embarkation spot and was totally disorganized and a mess. Originally we were supposed to embark from pier 27 but too many ships that day. People that drove had to park at pier 27 and shuttle over to 80. I can't imagine how difficult that was. Giving 2 stars because once you got your bags to the porters and got in the line for "customs" it was smooth and air...

The yard had space for trucks staying there during shows and I usually have the opportunity to collect some nice sea glass and rocks down by the water whenever we're here. Just don't go out during high tide, no telling what might be swimming around at that time. I've seen a shark tooth out there before and I wish I'd grabbed it. All that aside its a good place out here...
