All I can say is this achievement of steel and enough of a challenge for an Communications Tech of PG&E. 150 ft is my experience level. I feel this Is humbling for me. Whoever climbs this is a steady, solid, quality tech. 977 ft is wow. Can't imagine how many antennas can be assembled into A TV tower like this... Wonderful Achievement and S.F. Landmark... Be careful Stuff falling from this or any tower can easily Kill you... Washers, Nuts!! And the like.. Gary The public has no clue as to how Much work goes into maintenance, assembly, And painting this tower endures. Many of techs feet hurt after being on a Flat piece of steel, for hours at a time. Not to mention the physical, and Attention to detail, and Being safe to return to terra firma every day. After a while you kind of get used to it, but you always need to know where your hands And feet are. And...

The tower is about 1,000 feet tall, so it's quite the tower to see. There are something like 40 entities renting space on the tower and it's supposedly the largest communications tower in the world. We were told all this by the guard at the gate and gave us a pamphlet...
