This is the wedding experience you are looking for. This penthouse bridal salon has a high end feel and is run by the most knowledgeable, sweet, and professional girls. Peonie was the girl assisting me and she pulled the most perfect dresses. She was very good at understanding my esthetic and also brought dresses I had not considered that she thought would be a good style for me. I ended going with the first dress she brought me and I looked at three other salons after that (6 salons total)! Actually the first three dresses she brought me were all tied for first, but they all had different styles and esthetics meant for different types of weddingsI love style direction when shopping and Peonie and Jin were perfect at it. Very kind individuals. They would always tell me what would be the best look for the dress even if it was the less expensive way, which speaks volumes to me. Go here for honest advice on your whole look and to feel like the only bride that matters. Jin, the owner and designer, was present at the store when I went here both times and she went above and beyond to walk me through my decision making for a dress. Jin has been running and designing for her business for 17 years and been in the fashion industry for over 30 years. She does all of her alterations in house and has her own wedding dress collection. She is the kind of person you want to buy from because you always feel she has your best interest at heart. Not to mention she talked fondly of her employees which always is so wonderful to hear from an owner. Go here for an old-school, family owned feel in a high fashion/couture salon. I did not have the highest budget ($3,500), but they brought exceptional dresses below my budget and at my budget. They never made me feel ashamed for what I could spend on my dress and never tried to pressure me into increasing it. Go here because as long as your budgets over $2,000, you're going to have options and beautifully made dresses. The venue is something out of a movie. It's an tres chic all white penthouse overlooking Grant street and it has floor to ceiling windows surrounding the whole show room. I cannot tell you how much of a difference it is to look at a wedding dress in natural light. Sooo hard to find at other places. Go here to say, "I went here" when you show people pictures of where you went shopping for a dress.

I really believe in the vision for their salon and the experience that they give each bride to be. It's not a chance everyone gets and I want to make sure people know about them! Jin Wang deserves some serious recognition.

Jin Wang offers a good dress selection and has a beautiful space, but I had a disappointing experience with them. During my first fitting, the dress they ordered for me was extremely ill-fitting, particularly the cups. Despite only losing a small amount of weight (5 lbs), they blamed the fit issues on my weight loss. Even so, this would not explain the dress being 2 cup sizes and 2 dress sizes too large. I suspect that the dress was ordered in the wrong size due to a measurement error during a subsequent visit to get my bust measured.

At my first fitting, Jin quoted me $1400 for alterations but refused to acknowledge the need for adjustments to the cups. She came off defensive and I felt gaslit during my appointment. I had flown my mom in from across the country for this visit, and we had been really looking forward to the experience, but unfortunately I left the appointment in tears.

Instead, I took my business to Tailor Maid, where they were more understanding and collaborative and acknowledged that the cups needed work. They provided four fittings at no additional charge, whereas Jin's $1400 only covered two fittings, with any additional fittings costing $500 each. Jin also suggests the second and final fitting be only 1-2 weeks before your wedding, which would have meant waiting three months between fittings. This made me uncomfortable, considering that brides often deal with changing bodies and can require extensive alterations than cannot reasonably be achieved in only two fittings.

There were two other instances that left me feeling manipulated by Jin's business practices. First, when I called to finalize my purchase, Jin claimed that the price quoted in-store was incorrect and that the dress was more expensive. She said they would honor the "lower price". However, upon visiting the shop months later, I discovered that the dress was displayed at the same price I had paid. This made me feel like she was creating a false perception that I was receiving a special deal in order to pressure me into purchasing the dress, which was not the case.

Second, they initially assured me of a trusted tailor in town in case my budget didn't align with their prices. However, when I asked for information about this tailor, they directed me to a poorly rated establishment, which seemed like a sales tactic to pressure me into using their alteration services.
