West Bluff Picnic Area — Attraction in San Francisco

This is always a great spot to watch Fleet Week air show. Unfortunately in the mornings it's very wet and muddy. But by the time the show starts it's pretty good. Great place to bring the family and the kids. Some folks barbecue. The parking is great if you come early in the morning. But if you come after about 10:30 there's no parking and they close the streets. The Warming Hut has changed and has very limited offerings. Really disappointing. Still a magnificent view of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz and Angel Island and the Bay Bridge. There's the walk all the way down past Crissy field to the Yacht Club. There's the rock wall climbing place and the house of a air. So much to do for everybody...

Pretty busy area! Whether planning a party, family reunion, picnic for that special someone, or just spending quality time with the family --- This is the PERFECT spot...great view of the San Francisco Bridge, Plenty of space to gather, and literally crawling distance from the ocean...This location is great!

Attn: Not sure, maybe due to COVID-19, but the restrooms on this side are closed, they have times posted however, the doors are locked...😖😖😩 Please...

The picnic area was very easily accessible and relatively clean. Since there are a lot of birds in that area, just make sure you're prepared to clean up a bit before you get situated. The view, however, and proximity to the beach is just phenomenal. A lot of foot traffic goes through because of how popular it is, but that's normal here. There's also some nearby field space if you want to stretch out and the parking was pretty good for around here, only $10...
