This fairly new boba shop ( around 4-5 months long ) is located in San Gabriel, border line of Alhambra. It is on Valley Blvd and the corner of Stevens Ave. This was already a Boba shop before it became Molly Tea. The plaza / strip mall that this boba shop is in is super small and there are only 4-5 parking spots in there thats shared with other businesses so you will need to park on the street. Once you drive near the location / Stevens ave, you will see a somewhat big size of a pink boba cup as their signature statue / stand on the corner on the street, outside of their store so its hard to miss it.
Molly is a known Boba shop that specializes in jasmine tea / floral tea in China and brought the brand to US, first in New York and now to CA.
The inside of this boba shop is pretty big while there are 6-7 tables where you can “dine in”. There are also 4-5 tables and chairs outside next to their signature pink boba cup statue where you can sit outdoor.
They have 2 kiosk machines and QR code where you can purchase your orders. I went there on a Wednesday night around 9PM and there were still many people there lining up to order their drinks or out on the street finding parkings.
We ordered a jasmine green milk tea and the peach oolong jasmine green tea which both tasted good based on their recommended sugar level. Overall, i feel the cleanliness of this place can be a little better. Its 7/10 cleanliness rating I would give which its not bad but it can be better. Their staff were nice and helpful as I asked them a couple of questions in regard to their tea recommendations.
I recommend this boba shop for the quality of the drinks and a good spot to take pictures and chill...
Read moreNew milk tea place in town! Their jasmine tea is known for its floral notes and unique taste, very different from your average milk tea shops. I stopped by Molly Tea recently and decided to try one of their drinks—and I’ve got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve had a fair share of milk teas, but this one really stood out. From the first sip, you can tell Molly Tea takes their jasmine seriously. The aroma was incredibly fresh and inviting—subtle yet distinctive. The drink I had was Snowy Jasmine, and it was beautifully balanced. The tea itself had a clean, natural flavor—none of that artificial aftertaste you sometimes get with flavored teas. The jasmine wasn’t just an afterthought either; it was infused with intention. It complemented the tea rather than overpowering it, giving each sip a smooth, floral finish that lingered nicely.
What I really appreciated was the texture and richness. Whether it’s the creamy freshness of the milk or the silky smooth whipped topping (if you get one of their Snowy Whipped or Oat Milk series), you can tell that a lot of care goes into how the drinks are prepared. It felt indulgent, but not heavy—refreshing and satisfying all at once.
All in all, I’d definitely go back. Whether you’re a jasmine tea lover or just someone looking for a more refined, thoughtful take on milk tea, Molly Tea is absolutely...
Read moreMolly Tea just swung its doors open, and boom – instant boba sensation. The shop is elegant and the decor is fun with those, giant cup props outside. Curiosity, and a craving for something new, definitely pulled me in, even knowing it was peak viral madness.
I rolled up around 9:45 PM, figuring I'd grab a late-night tea. The line to order was short but there was a crowd waiting for their orders... I got my drink 45 minutes after ordering.
I went for the "Snowy Jasmine," which sounded intriguing. It’s basically a jasmine milk tea (tasted like black tea was in the mix too) topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream and some toffee bits. First impressions on the tea itself? Pretty good. The jasmine fragrance was definitely there, and the tea flavor, even though they’re clearly brewing in bulk to handle the crowds, was surprisingly strong and pleasant. But then came the whipped cream. It just left this weird, kinda filmy coating in my mouth that wasn't great and sort of hijacked the nice tea notes.
Molly Tea has got the look and the buzz down pat, and the actual tea quality seems decent. I’d be open to trying it again, maybe a different drink without the whipped cream, but only once the initial craziness dies down and I don’t have to commit my...
