Chien-Ye Liu, M.D. — Attraction in San Jose

An update to my prior review: If I could I would give dr. Liu and extra star. I recently changed insurance carrier and and experienced some back and forth for authorization. Dr. Liu's office worked with me close, communicated with the insurance company and went extra way o ensure I get my treatment. Once authorization was granted I was seen literally the same day. And dr. Liu was amazing, took time to listen to my concerns and discuss the treatment.

First review: I have been dr. Liu's patient now for several years and i have to say, he has been the best neurologist I have ever worked with on my migraines. He is very attentive, listens carefully, analyzes your progress and needs, adjusts treatment as needed. I love that he discusses new treatments as well as lifestyle impact(travel, work stress, etc.). I have been followed by Dr.Liu Since 2019 for some complicated nerve pain issues. I have seen a number of neurologist during my adult life, and Dr.Liu is the kindest, most sensitive and interactive neurologist of all that I’ve seen. He is a good listener and quickly sizes up the problem, articulates it, and suggests a plan going forward. His explanations are clear and he is always available online promptly to answer questions or concerns between visits. I feel confident being open and direct with him about my symptoms, trusting that he will take them seriously and thoughtfully suggest a plan. He is not one to order further diagnostic interventions without careful thought about what benefit they might bring to planning or changing treatment. Dr. Lui has been treating me for several years. He has an excellent bedside manner, and I look forward to seeing him. Once you get to know him, he is very personable and dedicated to his patients and family. He cares about his patient’s medical conditions but is also interested in their lives.

I would give him ten stars if I could....
