This review is for the dog park. It is located on the Piedmont street entrance. Where the old fire station was. It is nice to finally have a dog park on this side of town. Kinda disappointed that there's no poop bags stations.or that there's no water trough for the dogs. There is one near the animal rehab center. For the price the city was charged, the park is very basic. I like that the small dog side has all new sod. The big dog side has grass that was previously there. I've been there a couple of times in the evening. A really nice crowd, very well behaved dogs. Also even though they don't have bags available, I've noticed that everyone has been picking up after their pets. Be aware that the only trash can is located next to the bench...
Read morePretty nice park in the area with quite a few athletic activities available. There's also a nice pond, and play area just for the kids, that looks to be quite new and well maintained. I am however taking away one star just due to the fact that compared to the other local parks around, the grass and grounds themselves are not as well maintained, but I would call them natural looking. If your looking for a nice place to walk your dog, go for a jog, or, take your kids to go play this is a good park. Read moreGreat park play structures, a bit hot in the summer. Not as much shade as needed to keep it comfortable in the summer. Might have some fried little buns on your hands. ,
The pond in the back is pretty grungy with a failing unfinished wood railing/fence. Don't lose track of your kids because kids are creative and might climb through/down to the much/water. That part is not safe.
Lots of trails around if you want to take bikes. Great park, could be even better with more trees or man-made shade, and cleanup of the pond area new fence still very worth the trip for a...
