Jade China Restaurant is a popular spot for Chinese takeout. I stopped by in the evening to pick up some food, and the first thing I noticed was how busy the parking lot was. It can be a bit challenging to find a spot, but that’s usually a good sign of a well-loved restaurant. Sure enough, when I walked in, there was a line of customers waiting to place their orders, confirming that this place has a strong following.
I ordered a variety of dishes to get a good sense of the menu, including Spicy Eggplant, Mixed Vegetables, Chinese Chicken Salad, Sesame Balls, Crab Rangoon, and Chow Fun with chicken. Despite the crowd, the service was efficient, and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time.
The Spicy Eggplant stood out with its perfect balance of heat and flavor. It had just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming, and the texture was excellent—tender yet not mushy. The Mixed Vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, retaining their natural crunch and flavor. Sometimes mixed vegetable dishes can be bland or overcooked, but that was not the case here.
The Chinese Chicken Salad was another highlight. It was crisp, tasty, and well-balanced with a flavorful dressing that tied everything together. The combination of fresh vegetables, chicken, and crispy wonton strips made for a refreshing and satisfying dish.
For appetizers, I tried the Sesame Balls and Crab Rangoon. The Sesame Balls were delightful, with a nice outer crunch that gave way to a soft, chewy center with a hint of sweetness. The Crab Rangoon had a crispy exterior and a creamy, flavorful filling that wasn’t too heavy or greasy.
The Chow Fun with chicken was a solid choice as well. The noodles were cooked well, and the dish had a good balance of flavors, with tender chicken and a satisfying texture.
Overall, I was very pleased with my meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. While the parking situation and the wait times might be a slight inconvenience, the quality of the food makes it well worth it. I’d definitely return to Jade China Restaurant for another delicious...
Read moreWe decided to have dinner here this evening. We arrived at 5:20pm. We waited 5 mins to place our order and were told our food would be ready in 25 min. We went back to the car and waited. After 25 minutes we returned to the restaurant to see if our order was ready. It was NOT, we waited longer and after 40 minutes we checked again. It was still not ready. A couple of minutes later they came out and told me they were out of salt and pepper wings were no longer available! Are you kidding me after 45 minutes you're going to tell me that you don't have an item from my order? My order finally came out after 55 minutes. Have you ever waited 55 minutes for Chinese food at a takeout restaurant? However, no one told us it was our order sitting at the counter. Some man even put his hands all over my food, which actually grossed me out. After another five minutes they called our name and told us that was our food sitting there. At that point I wanted to tell them I just want to refund because the food been sitting there for five minutes and some man touched it. I really don't want to eat your food. But I had s three hungry people waiting for dinner so I picked it up and brought it home. It was cold.lwas disgusting and had no flavor. The chicken chow mein smelled and tasted like cigarettes. Save your time, save your money you're better off at panda express for a quarter of the price (we spent $72 for 5 items). Do you think somebody said sorry for the wait? They don't care, sad the way this business is ran, surprised at how many customers they had. I guess our area needs a new...
Read moreI randomly picked this restaurant one sunday evening because i wanted chinese food and easily to grab and go on way home. I was pleasantly surprised at what i got for my money. Eating out is more and more expensive every day. This place is extremely reasonably priced. The portions are humongous. My first take out was $30 for 1 person. A rice a noodle and a main and i got orange chicken. When you open your container there is soo much food it takes on the shape of the container. The chow mein has large pieces of chicken and the texture is great. Its a little bland but I like that. Fried rice the same huge portion and great. The orange chicken was flavorful and crunchy in all the right places. And big chucks of chicken. Needing a knife and fork. My meal could have easily fed 4 people maybe 6 for dinner. I got several meals out of mine. And their egg rolls are huge. Nothing stingy there. So i recently went back got a rice a noodle and this time swéet and sour pork and walnut shrimp. Again alot of food. Spent 60 for two and in the end we had dinner and split the leftovers and will easily get 3 to 4 more meals each. Again big huge pieces of pork, plenty of sauce and vegies. Great flavor and the walnut shrimp was really good. Huge pieces of shrimp in i believe a tempura batter all fluffy nice coating cooked well and not bitter walnuts. I shall go there again and...
