The North Face Westfield Valley Fair Mall — Attraction in San Jose

I had a terrible experience today at the north face store. My sister and I were browsing looking for some jacket when we noticed the staff following us and giving us dirty looks. I even saw a staff member send over someone to stand where we were shopping and pretend to “fold clothes”. We were not dressed suspiciously nor were we shoplifting. We were not doing anything to gain this disrespect and discrimination. I don’t know if they thought we were stealing or if we couldn’t afford to buy anything in the store but we felt humiliated. Don't lose your receipt.

They have good inventory, but I hate their outdated policy of physically having the original receipt for any return. They rely on you losing your receipt to keep the sale. It's ridiculous in 2022, especially since they ask for your membership number to record the sale with. I have all the receipts, but forgot one at home, my wife was able to take a picture and send to me, but it wasn't enough, so I have to come back to return an item with the physical receipt.

Came in the other day to purchase my dad a nuptse. I wasn’t sure about the fitting since I am not familiar with North Face product, however, a young man did a great job helping me out! He was able to help me get an idea of what would be the right fit for my dad and since they have a similar build, he was okay with trying it on so I can be confident in my purchase.
