Beautiful grounds! We enjoy that our dog can either get exercise in the designated dog play area or on the pavement paths around the marina. Love that it's sand in the play area. Make a great option after rain since it's porous and not muddy. Workout equipment and active areas for humans with a park for kids.

If you have a dog, just be a good citizen and clean up their poop. Also, mind your dog manners. We had a dog jump the fence from the path and immediately snap at our ironically docile 10 month old 90lb Rottweiler puppy and the owner was waaaayyyy too non-chalant about it. We'd met the dog before and were impressed by his athleticism. Today we were disappointed in this experience mainly because of the owners lack of response to our polite requests for him to come grab his dog. (It's the black dog with the white patch wearing the studded collar in the picture sniffing the creamy colored dog. The owner is a tall slim guy with long hair.)

But the park, aside from un-picked up poop, is awesome. A favorite in addition to Alameda Dog Park, Point Isabel, and Joaquim...

I love to bring my pup here on a clear warm day. We come an hour and a half before sunset and she gets to tire out and I get to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the marina. It's perfect. There are two parks one for the little pups and one one the med/larger ones, often people just bring their little ones into the bigger ones.

My issue is really with some of the owners that come here. This is an agility park. But for whatever reason there are owners that come here and sit ON the agility courses? Why, just why? I asked a couple if they could let me use the dog walk/a frame and they said "in a minute sure" but 5 went by, 10 went by 15mins and I asked again and they were like "there isn't anywhere else to sit right now".... okay and that's not my issue? And I had to explain that I brought my pup to an AGILITY dog park so we can use the AGILITY courses. *SMH. Don't be those people. This has happened a few times and I just leave it be and toss a ball and its just lame because it defeats the point of coming to this park...

My dog loves coming to this park when we are in the area. My dog is very social, so coming to the dog park is a real treat for her. Dog owners complement me for my dog as she loves running around and getting other dogs to play. I had a bad experience with one dog owner who walked her dog in and left it on leash while guiding it through the obstacles. She yelled at me for having my dog unleashed and said her dog doesn’t do well with other dogs. She almost kicked my dog. Why do you bring your dog to a dog park if you can’t deal with other dogs? That experience gave me a bad taste. She ruined the mood in the park as everyone decided to leave after her outburst.

Other than that I wish it had more seating areas and shade for humans and 4...

We went to the dog park today for a beagle meet up. This was my first time here. The parking lot is kinda small for all of the activities available at this location. First off the dog park is down the trail. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot. It's a nice walk, the trail is next to the ocean. The dog park has a large and small dog side. Both sides have water and doggie poop bags available. This park has agility ramps and balance beams for the dogs to play with. The ground is dirt and crushed rocks. Not the greatest surface for dogs to run around on. There was a small patch of grass, but it was mostly weeds. The boys still had a good time.

The view of the bay from this nicely equipped Dog Park is fantastic and the breezes are welcome on warm afternoons. The sandy ground can be a bit uncomfortable and now that it’s summer the dogs must be checked for foxtails and burrs when we get back to the car, but the park has both small and large dog sides and both have ample room for running after a well thrown ball. The water fountains are in good repair and the table provided to each side has shade for pet parents. The concrete agility equipment is fun for the dogs and is sturdy and also in good repair. I’d happily give a five star review but for the worry of a foxtail injury.
