A mix of old and new, of rythmic and and dreams, of time-honored and contemporary, Performing Arts Center included the Call Poly Theater, now the Spanos Theatre, which is the oldest theater in the large Call Poly Performing Arts Center. Seating about 850, the Soanos Theatre is a well maintained, medium size theater. For 50 years, it has hosted a number of University and visiting performances including the well known and loved Orchesis Dance Company, which calls Call Poly its home.

This place is beautiful. I can't believe it's at Cal Poly. Possibly the most gorgeous, modern, and good-sounding concert halls within two counties. It's always nice to support a public school when I go to events, and this place is certainly a favorite. It's rarely crowded like places in L.A. can get, and you never have to worry about parking. I'd much rather go to shows here than down south.

The "PAC" in SLO is an amazing venue with excellent sound, great seats and wonderful staff and crew. I've seen symphonies, comedians, bands like Gregory Allen Isokov, ballet and even a silent film with the amazing pipe organ and have never once been disappointed.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A True Gem on the Central Coast – Cal Poly Performing Arts Center

The Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo is nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're a local or visiting the area, this venue is a must-see. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with beautiful architecture nestled right against the scenic Cal Poly campus and rolling Central Coast hills.

The acoustics inside the main hall are world-class—crisp, immersive, and warm—making it a favorite for both symphonies and Broadway-level productions. Every seat feels close to the action, and the attention to design creates a truly intimate experience, no matter the performance.

Beyond the performance space, the entire Cal Poly campus is stunning. It’s a perfect blend of academic energy and natural beauty. Walking around before or after a show is a treat—especially during sunset.

The staff and volunteers are kind, helpful, and clearly passionate about the arts. Parking is easy, the facilities are spotless, and the lineup of events year-round is impressively diverse. From student productions to world-renowned acts, there’s always something happening.

Whether you're a lover of theater, music, dance, or just looking for a memorable cultural night out, the Cal Poly PAC delivers. I can’t...

The CalPoly PAC (Performing Arts Center) is truly amazing! It's been a hub for diverse art formats and enriching the community for all ages. I've enjoyed tens of events here, and they always go off without a hitch – a testament to the "hundreds of people behind the scenes" the announcer mentioned. The sound, lighting, and visibility are great, and parking is always close by and not a hassle. Most recently, the SLO Opera offered a wonderful opportunity for children to test their interest in the professional arts and perform in the chorus. Attending the PAC is always rewarding! I can't wait for the next...

What an amazing venue. Located near Cal Poly’s beautiful campus- the Performing Arts Center was one I will never forget. I had the pleasure of experiencing Stomp- the show, with friends and family. Not only are the acoustics fantastic, but the atmosphere and the staff are exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Parking was easy, the location- iconic, and my recommendation is if you ever have the opportunity to attend a performance here- don’t hesitate! I can’t wait until I...
