Disappointed with my visit for home game. First, I went to get two hot dogs in the first quarter of the game. Line only had about 7 people in front of me but took about 15 minutes. Once I had finally made it to the front of the line, I was informed that they were out of hot dogs. How can you run out of hotdogs in the first quarter of a game? That is a complete error by the concessions organizers. I asked how long it would be until there would be more, but the clerk didnāt know. I didnāt want to have to wait in line again so I decided to go with a burger. After being vaguely guided to āover thereā by the clerk where I would be given my burger (apparently he meant some sort of unlabeled food trailer, where the gentleman inside looked at me as if I didnāt know where I was until I said āUm I ordered a burger?ā). However, I donāt know if they simply donāt know how to cook, but the burger I was served tasted absolutely awful. Iāve eaten many burgers over the years, and this had to be the worst Iāve ever eaten. It tasted like a wet piece of cardboard. The bread and other ingredients were probably the worst quality toppings Iāve ever consumed as well (the bread being especially gross). It was disgusting. It was priced at around $13, and was probably the worst money Iāve ever spent on food. In addition to this issue, the comfort within the stadium was also a huge disappointment. For some reason, the speakers above the home audience are EXTREMELY loud every week. Often times, when they start playing music, they have to rush to turn it down as soon as they can as it pierces everyoneās ears. Fans cover their ears instantaneously. This issue needs to be resolved immediately. It is very uncomfortable for home fans. I donāt know who runs the tech and announcing, but they are genuinely bad at their job for letting such a simple aspect of the experience be terribly unpleasant again and again and again. The announcers voice is extremely loud as well. Every single week. The announcer also decides to consistently talk during half time events such as the band performances and other events that you canāt focus on because his blaring voice takes over. Parking is another major inconvenience. Thinking about driving to the parking lot and then walking to the game? Donāt. Itās about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot to inside the stadium. On your walk over, youāre likely to see possums or some other creature (with a long nose and a long tail) roaming around the campus. The seats in the stadium have far too little leg room. When you walk from the main entrance to the home stands to get ready to watch the game, you literally have to walk directly through the concession line. Itās so annoying having to push and shove your way through just to get to the seating area. Every single week. Failure on behalf of game management there. Maybe if some of these issues were addressed in a manner that actually takes into consideration fan experience, people would go to games. Maybe we could even win some with...

Secondly, I witnessed a man parachuting onto the football field with the American flag on back like Superman! Incredible visit and experience! Below are some fun facts I came across.

Home to Cal Poly Football as well as menās and womenās soccer, Alex G. Spanos Stadium is the Wrigley Field of college football arenas due to its quaint layout, idealic setting and an architecture that provides fans excellent site lines to the on-field action. Named in honor of Cal Poly alumnus, philanthropist and sportsman Alex Spanos, the stadium is experiencing a phased renovation that will eventually expand its capacity to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs stadiums go I expect it is fine. For the event, graduation, I give it less than one star. Cal Poly provided tickets to the event but when my group of only three out of seven available tickets went to go in they had closed the entrances due to overcrowding. Every stairway was blocked! I am truly glad nothing happened to cause a panic. Certainly a school such as Cal Poly could have planned this much better. Also, no one was allowed to carry in a bag (unless it was clear) which I suppose is the norm in this day and age - even so nothing was checked. And you could not bring in opened water bottles so either had to carry a closed one or buy one on campus before going into the stadium. Needless to say, from what I saw and heard, this did not stop any one...
