Truly superb park for taking the children to. A place where they (and/or you!) can tumble and crash themselves down face flat, temporarily, and yet, you would still be happy at the sheer amount of joy they find in the experience, be it sliding down the AstroTurf-covered hills ( yes I just called it AstroTurf) or the superman utiliziation of one of the 2 to 3 slides, the climbing of the climbing things, and lest I forget... wait for it, the Rope swing which is actually more like zipline type thing! Yaaaayyy!! I like ziplines!!! I don't have children (yet) so you'll have to forgive me thinking of children in such a way where they might fall down and hurt themselves, I point and laugh once, and I just keep it light-hearted, maybe even point and laugh with an empathetic appreciation for the little dude or suzette. This - barring any injury of course (!) - is simply for emphasizing just how much fun we had at this park! I can't give it five stars because there aren't any water slides or roller coasters. SORRRYYY! Bring cardboard boxes to slide on. Enjoy yourself, and such, and also be careful because the kids are better than you at this brand of family fun (duh). You will fall flat on your face if you do not respect them and their abilities to rule this incredible playground/park. Uhhh, I suppose I should postscript that last sentence. This only applies If U actually put your phone down, get your self up, and go play with them. My sister, my nephew, and I, we had a blast!...
Read moreThis park is amazing. The big park is great for ages 4 and up but there is a smaller area for younger kiddos. There is 5 tall slides, 3 are bendy ones and 2 are straight ones (1 of them was under construction). To the left of the 2 straight sides, there is astro turf that slopes down where kids use flat cardboard boxes as sleds to slide down. There are plenty of cardboard pieces for kids to use. In addition to the tall slides, there is a zip line that is pretty fun. There is the typical play structure that most playgrounds have such as ladders, fire poles, bridges, swings, tire swing, climbing net etc. There is also a cute seesaw. You enter the playground through a school which is a little odd and the parking area is about a short block walk to the playground. There is a sand volleyball court and plenty of benches for parents to sit, have a snack and relax while watching their little ones play. The restrooms are open. But the water fountains are not so bring water bottles. There is plenty of grounds to take a stroll or bring a pet. You can go through a nice woods like area with a creek. I went during the week day and spent a couple of hours there. There is not much area for shade so bring sunscreen on a sunny day because you will be...
Read moreI have lived in San Luis county for my whole life and proper for 15 years. This park is by far the best one in the town. I have raised and played with quite a few children so I speak from experience when I tell you they have the best playground equipment of any park I've been to in the country. Make sure to bring cardboard with you because they have a huge hill with turf grass that is incredibly fun to slide down on cardboard. They have an area for children that are five and under and the rest of the area is for all ages. They have huge slides and lots of climbing stuff. The only drawback is they don't have swings for children over three. But to make up for that there is a big zip line. I weigh about 180 in the zip line holds me so it's pretty strong. It's super fun. If you're looking for a good Park this is the best...
