Location is convenient, since it's nearby and there's both parking & public transportation. There are more variety of slots available now, versus when they first opened & it used to feel like every machine required such high max bets. But you still won't find games like Wild Cherry or other old school slots that only have a $2 or 3 max bet. Most have $5, $9, or even $45 max bets. If you hunt around enough, you can find some scattered games that have low minimum bets, if you just want to kill time with a few bucks.
Food-wise, I'd missed out on what had been their signature steaks that one of my co-workers used to eat every week, because they were so good & super affordable. They have finally opened up their steakhouse again, but it's currently only dine & I haven't seen if they brought back the offering under $10. If so, it'll be worth it to check out. The other food offerings have limited hours, and there's also a limit to how many items can be purchased per person. The main special changes daily I believe. If you ever get a chance to try their burger & fries, go for it! The burger actually tastes flame-broiled & the fries are better than lots of other fast food places.
For non-smokers it's great, since it's pretty much a smoke-free environment. There's a designated smoke area outside near one of the restrooms. When the place is packed, walking paths are pretty narrow, so people bump into your chair a lot. And it's a squeeze sometimes to get into a chair when machines on both sides are occupied. So if you get claustrophobic, this might not be the place for you. Stick to the larger casinos with more open floor plans.
Main reason I took off a Star (other than rarely winning a jackpot here, since at least the rest of my family tends to do well) is because of a weird rule they have when they wouldn't let my sister bring in her lucky stuffed cat, because they said others might think it was real. (It looks more like a fat teddy bear, so nowhere near like a real animal.) She had to take a rideshare back all the way home and then back again, wasting time & money, since they also didn't have any sort of coat check for anything they don't want you bringing in (like large bags, as well).
Their rewards program doesn't have great gifts offered, just some Free Play every so often & the ability to use your points for food comps. But I still recommend always signing up for rewards cards, since it makes it easier to track your Win/Loss statements and at least you'll get something back for playing, even if it's not a lot.
Overall, not my favorite casino, since others have better rewards programs & more variety of slots, but it's the easiest one to get to and their donuts & burgers (when they have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAh, San Pablo Lytton Casinoāwhere dreams are made, fortunes are lost, and my bank account learned the true meaning of āzero balance.ā From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the seductive glow of slot machines and the alluring sounds of chips clinking, like a siren calling me to my doom.
With every step, my excitement turned into a full-blown romance. āForget love,ā I thought, āthis is the relationship I've been searching for!ā My heart raced as I slid onto my first slot machine, ready to embark on a journey that would make even Gatsby envious. As I fed the machine like it was my emotional support animal, I could almost hear the sweet symphony of ājackpotā whispering my name.
But then, reality hitālike that iconic sound of a losing slot machine. āAh, just one more spin!ā I told myself, as I reached into my pocket for what felt like my last dollar. The high was euphoric, like a rollercoaster designed by someone who didnāt understand physics. My inner voice battled between āyouāre on a winning streakā and āplease donāt sell your organs for next weekās rent.ā
The drinks were flowing, and every sip felt like a confidence booster. So there I was, living my best lifeāa modern-day Robin Hood, except I was robbing myself to give to my addiction. At one point, I asked myself, āIs this an entertainment budget or my life savings?ā Answer: Definitely the latter.
I realized that the casino isnāt just a place; itās a whole lifestyle. I stumbled out at 2 a.m., slightly richer in memories and significantly poorer in dollars.
In conclusion, the San Pablo Lytton Casino is like that wild friend who encourages you to make questionable decisionsābut boy, is it a great time! Just remember to bring a backup plan (or a rich relative) for when love turns into a reckless fling. Until next time, my flirtation with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreParking lot is always full, we parked in ADA which was lucky to find. Waited in line for 5 minutes or so. They make you use hand sanitizer and then you step forward and the machine photos your face for a temperature check, next you walk in and security tells you to remove your mask so they can get a facial recognition and then you are in. The place is overly crowded and very narrow aisles to walk in and bumping in to people. Some areas had the plastic divider between slot machines and others were turned off, like every other machine. The one thing that I don't like is you have to hit the button twice, I have never done that at any other casinos. You have to hit dauber, very weird. They had all the new modern machines like in Vegas. They had so many machines all cramped in this casino, I have never seen anything like this, and definitely do not like hitting a dauber button or the machine button two times.
I did not see anyone sanitizing the machines as in other casinos. I seen people walking around with garbage cans, I never seen anybody clean anything on the floor but it was packed.
We did see about 6 different hand pays, but none for us.The ladies room was real clean and a matron in there cleaning.
The atmosphere seem alright but its just to claustrophobic, cramped, super crowded and this was between midnight and 3am. I wonder what the day times is like if its this crowded in the middle of the night. There is no social distancing at this place and there is no smoking inside either. Checked it out this one time and its...
