I'll start on a positive note. The pancakes were the Bomb. Perfectly cooked. Really good quality bacon. Now for not so positive. I ordered a shortstack, eggs and bacon. My husband order 2 Egger w/grits and bacon and a side waffle. This took 45 minutes to be served. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day, the cooked called off, but what ever happened, I was truly disappointed that although the wait staff appeared quite friendly, No one came to apologize for the delay. Only just before serving were we alerted that our food was on its way. This was our first visit. My husband wanted grits for breakfast. I googled where to get grits near by, this place popped up. We decided to give it a try. Examining the menu grits aren't listed. I inquired with the wait staff and was told grits were available. I wish I had not, hubby was so disappointed. I tasted the grits and they tasted microwaved, and not thoroughly cooked. If it's not what you do, don't do it. There was also some kind of hostile verbal exchange between employees in the kitchen that was quite noticeable to the patrons. A young woman I presume was in charged asked everyone to stop and take a deep breath, which seemed to regain some order. I'm torn because those pancakes were DELICIOUS, but the wait and negative experience, Not sure if it's worth it. Hence...

This was a lovely spot to stop for a late breakfast consisting of French toast with 2 eggs and sausage, and my companion had a huge tuna salad.

We arrived shortly after 1 p.m. and were done just a few minutes before 2 p.m., their weekday closing time. The wait was very reasonable. The coffee, was just $2.75 then, but increased to $3 in late 2024. It was fresh with just about all the fixings at arm's reach and refillable!

The prices are quite reasonable compared to many comparable establishments and considering the rate of inflation. I was glad the cafe was empty after the main stream lunch crowd, since I'm still very cautious with the spread of COVID. There were at least two to-go orders filled while we were there. The tables all appeared to be clean as well as their single handicap accessible restroom, which was clean and well stocked.

The waitress was friendly and talkative, but did not bother us. She checked on us a couple times and offered to refill our coffee.

I did not take photos of their menu, since someone else recently posted them, in part.

We've since become regulars here! I finally tried their vegan wrap, which I believe vegetarians would enjoy. It tasted salt free, so a light coat of ketchup did the trick for me.

Overall: Reasonably priced, scrumptious food, clean establishment, and...

My better half and I decided to hit up this hidden gem fueled by stellar reviews, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The grub was nothing short of fantastic. The missus went all-in for the banana pancakes, and I've got to say, they were next-level. As for our scrambled eggs jazzed up with our favorite veggies – absolute perfection.

Now, let's talk service. Leslie, our speedy, courteous server, brought the A-game. The French toast? Unquestionably one of the best I've savored in ages. The place got a bit buzzing post 11 o'clock, but fear not, a table or two still up for grabs.

Leslie, our breakfast wizard, orchestrated the morning feast flawlessly. This spot has skyrocketed to the top of our breakfast haven list. Trust us, if you're on the prowl for a stellar morning meal, this joint is the real deal. Leslie and the whole breakfast experience get a resounding thumbs up from us – a must-try in our breakfast...

One of the last of a dying breed, this great old school family style diner serves up favorites that made American breakfast great. Pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, you name it they have it. My test was, and it always is to order an eggs benedict with a bacon substitution, and it was great! I just wish that they had toasted the English muffin a little bit more, but other than that it was great. And in a land of double low-fat pumpkin decaf lattes, a nice straight up cup or two of black drip coffee, really brings the whole breakfast experience together. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a little bit of America, and it's inexpensive.. Highly recommended.
