This was such an awesome hike. I hit the trail at 1:30 am and was not the only one. The moon was almost full and the reflection off of the snow was absolutely gorgeous. My moonshadow followed me until sunrise. There were lots of other hikers and mountain climbers on the trail this morning taking advantage of this beautiful night. It is still cold up there and covered in snow and ice this time of year. This was my first time on the Timberline trail and definitely will not be my last. I have been looking for a place to take moonlight hikes and decided to do this on a spur of the moment. Thank goodness I went with my gut. The other hikers were very friendly and seemed to be just as excited as I was to be there. The steady stream of headlamps all the way to the summit was so inspiring. The right gear is critical for this hike, do not take it lightly. I am a newcomer to this trail but not to Mt Hood. Paradise Park trail is another Mt Hood favorite of my mine. But the Timberline Trail is the first I have found where I am comfortable hiking at night. Happy hiking everyone, see you...

I mean, this is one of the few times you go to a place to pick up passes and it’s quick and easy! Usually, you’d expect long lines, but not here. This is the new spot to pick up passes for Timberline Skybowl—it used to be a little further down by the gas station. The staff here are very nice. Sure, sometimes they might come across as a bit curt, but honestly, they deal with so many different kinds of people every day. Overall, it’s a great experience, and I’ll definitely come back here...

A wonderful Lodge at Mount Hood. Enjoyed the drive through the forest, great views along the way, the snow is pure and white. The lodge is cozy and warm, the 🎿 resort is great. This was the first time I have ever tried skiing - it was a blast! I really suggest that you rent the full gear, take ski class and a skipass if you are a begginer, you will not regret it. It actually costs less than...

Great drive up to these lots for a day hike on the PCT with my family. Got here at 8:30am and parking was already almost full, so made sure to arrive early. Hiked the PCT for a 5 mile out-and-back with my wife and daughters. Such a wonderful hike! Afterwards, we took the chair lift up to 7,000’ and payed in the snow a bit. Fun to be in the snow in August!
