Tarpon Bay Road Beach Park — Attraction in Sanibel

Although it takes a little walking to get from the parking lot to the beach, Tarpon bay beach is a great place for anyone who enjoys marine life.

While walking on the beach, we were able to encounter a couple of turtle's nests which the city of Sanibel does a great job of protecting.

The beach also has tons of shells by the shore, so many that it makes a little difficult to get into and out of the water.

Now, even though this park does not have a picnic area nor barbecue grill, it does have very clean bathroom and showers

Also, the park rarely gets crowded as the parking lot is small and the space on the sand is pretty ample. Tarpon bay beach is perfect for swimming and windsurfing.

The bathrooms are nice and clean. They have grills here and outdoor rinse showers. The walking path to the parking is relatively short. We came during sunset and although the sun didn’t set right on the beach, it was really nice and cool. There’s plenty of space on the beach and it wasn’t crowded. Make sure you park only in the public parking designated area and pay for your parking properly. Police hover the area and will ticket you for not following parking policies. Last Saturday 7/17 we went to this area of the beach and when we left we were expelled by this lady who affected us the afternoon with her rudeness, bad attitude and disrespect towards us and the people present there, it is incredible that this citizen work here and deal with people to whom you speak as if they were animals, I really think some measure should be taken with her so that it does not continue to affect more people and families who come to this beautiful place, thank you. ................................................................................................................ El pasado dia sabado 7/17 acudimos a esta area de la playa y a la hora de retirarnos fuimos expulsados por esta senora que nos afecto la tarde con sus grocerias, mala actitud e irrespeto hacia nosotros y las personas alli presentes, es increible que esta ciudadana trabaje aqui y trate con personas a las cuales les habla como si fueran animales, realmente pienso se debe tomar alguna medida con ella para que no siga afectando a mas personas y familias que acudan a este bello...
