Kapriz Hardwood Floors — Attraction in Santa Clara

Wow, this place sets the new high bar for low service levels! My wife and I visited the "showroom" this Sunday afternoon hoping to learn a little more about Brazilian Cherry floors. We have some Brazilian Cherry in a nice house we bought recently in the Bay Area and want to extend similar flooring to two large bedrooms and an office area. The elderly gentleman with the strong Mediterranean accent could hardly have been less helpful. He kept stating that he 'could not help us with the color' of the flooring and wandered away to other customers after waving us in the general direction of some confusing samples. A little helpfulness and feigned interest in what we were attempting to achieve would have been appreciated. When we left, with no one else in the store, he didn't even bother to make eye contact. I would NEVER give this company any business. I would sincerely suggest that this gentleman would fit into the category of the lowest 5% of all retail salespeople that I have yet encountered. This guy needs to find a new, inspiring career or commit to rehab for disaffected floor treatment sales veterans. We purchased engineered hardwood for our entire home here in June 2018. We looked around pretty much everywhere, from bigger stores like S&G to retailers like Home Depot to the myriad of stores down in San Jose. After we looked at everything, we came back to Kapriz. No one else has their selection or variety of hardwood floor and no one could match their pricing. Now one thing Kapriz doesn't so is installs, but they do have contact information for a few installers who do good work. We went through one of these, and they installed the hardwood throughout our entire home, including leveling our floors so that we didn't need transitions, all for less than what other places charged for installs alone.
