Muslim Community Association — Attraction in Santa Clara

One of the largest Islamic centers in the US right here in the heart of Silicon Valley. This is an amazing center and community. Prayer spaces are large, beautiful and welcoming. They host amazing and inspiring speakers and scholars for Friday sermons as well as weekend seminars and events. They also host a visitors hour Thursdays at 7pm (look on Eventbrite to sign up) with a tour for anyone interested. This is a welcoming space for women with lots of activities, including conferences with women scholars, Arabic and Quran classes throughout the week for women, and support services for mental health, finances etc. There is a bookstore, cafe and cafeteria for delicious food choices, and bazaars with many vendors on Fridays. For kids there is a playground, indoor play and activity spaces, as well as babysitting during larger events or talks. You go to pray jumma’a you end up listening to a scammer trying to collect money to upgrade a funeral home, they charge 2000$ to wash a dead body and all the people who wash they do it voluntarily, they collected millions of dollars in Ramadan and yet you make a sjood you can’t wait to get up cuz the carpet is so stinky, their islamic school charge as you’re going to Stanford, jummah prayers imam is late multiple times and they still get paid he’ll be holding a piece of paper not memorize the subject he’s talking about but to memorize Quran (I can do that), Allah will ask you about your money you should know where’s it going, give to someone you know I need better for you, cuz if you put it there it’ll be divided on those who are in charge, the masjed shouldn’t be an auction, may Allah save this place from those people it’s so sad, go to peaceful place...

Mca is one of the primary Islamic centers here in the bay area (and main one in silicon valley). Great place for the whole Muslim family. Mca has a full Islamic school (elementary thru high school) plus various weekend schools for Quran and Arabic... Lots of activities happen here especially on Friday nights and weekends. The campus has a nice play ground for kids, two restaurants and one Islamic bookstore (which sells lots of Islamic items)...
