So I feel like I have a bit of a different perspective to share when it comes to reviewing this property. Unlike most people who may stop through for a night, a few days or even a week when they visit this location, I landed here as part of a contract job that I accepted at a facility in Palo Alto. I traveled across the country from Alabama and I wanted a secure, clean and safe location to reside while I was awaiting the availability of my condo. This location DID NOT DISAPPOINT! For perspective , you should know that I have lived here, in this hotel, for a total of 6 weeks.
I was leary of a few things initially, just because of some of the negative reviews that I had already read prior to booking the location. But within 24 hours of arrival all of those concerns were put to rest. This hotel has a beautiful lobby entrance with a very convenient Starbucks and an in-house restaurant option all located in the lobby area. The lobby tends to feel more reserved and peaceful during the day. As you look around you will notice people working from their computers at different table locations and others quietly chatting and laughing over a nice meal ordered from the restaurant. In the evening, it turns into more of a social spot, where people tend to gather for drinks at the bar, sports on the television and laughter among friends. There's an echo down there so it can get loud and boisterous, but not in a bad way. The front desk clerks are all FABULOUS! In the month and a half that I have stayed here, I have not had even one bad encounter with any employees of this hotel. Everyone has been hospitable, helpful and extremely attentive. The level of professionalism goes above and beyond and you can always tell that they are striving to make sure you are receiving the best service possible. I especially appreciated the smile that Miriam always had whenever I would enter the lobby heading to my room and she would sometimes say endearing things like "welcome home". THIS IS SPECIAL! Especially when you are as far away from home as I am. Barry was also always soooo helpful and eager to assist with any issues that I ran into. The hotel staff even signed for my car when the delivery truck that shipped it across the country, arrived to drop it off a week before I got here! ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!
To address a few of the elephants in the room....some people complained about the rooms that are not located in the tower portion of the hotel. I can't speak on what those rooms look like inside, but I can definitely say the entire conversation about it being spooky, dark, creepy, dark hallways, etc....that's all a bit exaggerated. The garden view rooms actually appear to be quite nice. It appears that some of them even open up to the pool side, which is pretty awesome! I didn't stay in those rooms but that was primarily because I have to be as far away from daily activities as possible since I am a night shift worker so I need my sleep. As for the tower rooms, my room is located on the 5th floor and the view from the room has been absolutely breathtaking with sweeping mountain views through the huge bedroom and living room windows (I'm attaching a pic of the window view because I love a place that offers a great view).
Beyond everything that I have mentioned in this, way too long review, I would just like to say that I would choose to continue to stay here if I had not already booked a condo. With that being said, I may still return here once my agreement runs out with the condo because I already miss this place and I'm not even gone yet!
For anyone looking for a good place to stay that is decently priced and an easy commute to Palo Alto, I completely recommend this location. I did have to commute on day shift for a couple of weeks prior to moving to night shift and even the day time commute was pretty easy.
Hopefully this review will help anyone who is on the fence like I was. Book this location! Just don't book it all of the way up because I still want to have the option to come back to it...

This area of the Valley is a cultural and culinary wasteland, which is no fault of the hotel’s, but it does make for a less than wonderful stay. I’m not sure what the hotel could do about this except strengthen a concierge presence, or provide better connections to things other than the office parks.
Lastly, the things which the hotel can improve:
Staffing in the restaurant: Particularly in the afternoon, the restaurant goes entirely unstaffed. Dead. They’ve got one person on the front desk, and she’s rightly busy checking everyone in.
A note to ALL hotels: Don’t put any artificial light into a room that can’t be turned off and kept off. The automatic lights in the bathroom can’t be turned off; they can only be switched off temporarily. This means waking up, being blinded, losing night vision, and interrupting the melatonin cycle. Yikes.
Soundscape: Delta Hotels are hardly unique in this, but they are egregious about it. The sound in the main lobby is bad. Bad audio design, bad music, bad, bad, bad. The echo is awful, the pop is saccharine, the playlist intrusive. Hire Julian Treasure and fix this. * Update one year later: This seems to have improved. *
Overall, a positive experience, and I’ll stay again, because this hotel is closest to things I need to access. But there’s room for...
Read moreI am not sure what happened here. I posted a thorough review and a very appreciative thank you to the staff for going WAY above and beyond to make me feel welcome here. Thank you Sooooooo much for the wine, chocolate, and handwritten note waiting in my suite when I arrived. You guys are the best!
This is by far my favorite hotel since beginning Google reviews. From the feel of the rooms, the quality of the amenities, and the hospitality of the staff, to the proximity to some great restaurants and major tech companies! Everything is just top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for vacations, as it is very close to Great America with immediate access to the major freeways for extended sightseeing. As mentioned, it's a stone's throw from many of the tech giants as well making it a great spot for business stays too.
The amenity list is seemingly endless and everything you'd expect from a top-notch hotel adorning a much higher price tag. Delta is very competitive in its pricing and I was completely shocked at the value I received for under $200/night. They have an exercise room, meeting rooms, a business center, concierge service, room service, a restaurant, a bar, and a guest pantry where you can pick up drinks and snacks 24/7!
I can't say enough how much I would recommend this hotel for your lodging needs and more!
Thanks Guys, I appreciate...
