Great ride. The roller coaster towers over several of the other rides, and, like some others at the park, offers a great view from the top of the chain lift. I love the fact that it slows down at the top and barely crawls over the crest of the lift. Though I wish this ride gave the riders a bit more forceful airtime, the floater air time is quite nice. I also love the tunnel at the bottom of the first drop (which I believe would be better if it we're steeper) as the tunnel provides a wonderful head chopper feeling.
Warning: This ride can cause some to black out.
The double helix is pretty great, I personally never have blacked out on a roller coaster, but I have come close on a few (this ride is one of those few). I have experienced some of my friends passing/blacking out on this ride, and it makes me laugh every time they do.
The only negative thing I can think of is how strong the brakes are during the midcourse brake run and end course brake run, but they...
Read moreThis coaster is decent. I wouldn't say it is one of the best in the park, but for what it does, it is fun, but flawed. This ride is huge! Standing over 250 above the park, it dwarfs everything except for Superman. That drop is not the best, it is way too shallow to provide any airtime on it, which is what a good drop does. The sense of speed on this ride is something that it does very well. The turnaround doesn't do anything for me. The following next airtime hill has a little bit of air, but it's not strong. The mid course is a huge buzz kill! You are going decently fast up until here where you almost come to a complete stop. The final helix is my favorite part. It offers awesome bone crushing positive g's which you will gray out on. Overall, if this ride had better airtime, then this would be a 5 star. For what it does though, it...
Read moreThis is possibly the best ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain. When I went X2 was down for repairs, so I do not know how these rides compare. What I do know is that it is quite nearly impossible to have so much fun in a two minute time period. The pure surge of adrenaline that runs through one's veins is unparalleled. If Six Flags Magic Mountain is on the agenda, this is a must. This hypercoaster completly redefined how I see and judge rollercoasters. The only thing to watch out for on this scream machine is the final corckscrew that produces a mind boggling four point five G's. The only true way to know what this feels like is to experiance it in person. What are you waiting for? Go ride goliath, it is an experiance not to...
