Our company is new to the Santa Cruz multi-residential real estate market. We have built a 17-unit condo project in downtown. Not having an office presence in Santa Cruz, we were very worried about the day-to-day management and Home Owner Association tasks. Horrible staff and the ethics of this Santa Cruz Utopia office is next level shady and mafia like unless you fight for your own right and keep advocating for the right thing. Their office manager Alexandra is worse than the previous one. They will throw anyone under the bus to protect themselves from any accountability or responsibility no matter you are an owner or the tenant. And we are saying this from our personal experience.

We are a unique HOA, with many "out of the ordinary" needs. Our historic building is over 100 years old, with such challenges as antiquated plumbing, knob-and-tube fuse boxes, and insufficient reserves. We are grateful that Distinct was willing to take us on, and have been delighted and relieved to have their financial expertise, procedural recommendations, project management, follow-through, and can-do attitude in a complicated environment.
