Shadow Hill Park — Attraction in Santee

This park has lots of shade for those hot summer days and the play structures are shaded as well. They have a playset for toddlers and a playset for bigger kids. They ground under the playground is rubberized. There's also a basketball and tennis court and a paved walkway that the kids ride their bikes and scooters on. They have a big grass field for running and chasing. There's a shaded bench area too. The bathrooms are clean but they have no doors. There's a trail that goes up and behind the tennis courts that's fun to walk as well. Good amount of parking. We LOVE this park, the gazebo is a good size and you can see most of the play areas perfectly from it. The equipment is good for many ages, their is a large grassy field, shady trees, and the sidewalk goes all the way around and is great for bikes, scooters, etc. There is also bathrooms, water fountains, basketball court, hiking trails, and more. This park really has it all! Cons - I would give them 5 stars but the rubber flooring under the playground is gross. It's missing chunks and is really sun faded. This park was a real treat. My friend and I were looking for a place to sit and talk. It was a hot day and we needed a place with some shade. We were near Shadow Hill Park. I'm so glad we went! The park was wonderful! Lot's of trees and grass. Benches are around the park and picnic tables. They also have BBQ's to use. There is also a very large area that's covered with picnic tables underneath it. Lots of things on the children's playground. Large restrooms. I'm definitely going back!
