My party and I entered the establishment and was greeted by the morning bartender who was awesome. Followed the stated rules and was served quickly.

The relief shift with a new bartender began and it went absolutely downhill from there. 5 star to a 1 star... incredible. This bartender, Diedra, started by speaking negatively about the first bartender and then proceeded to walk up to every patron and taking their temperature by firing a temp gun at our foreheads without asking permission. There were no signs posted inside or outside stating that patrons were subject to this screening. While I understand maintaining the safety of all people during this pandemic, I will not subscribe to this blatant lack of respect and violation of civil rights. If I was asked to submit and refused to take part, I would have respectfully left the bar and moved on about my day. This violation was absolutely absurd and made me feel like I was seeing the dawn of a new concentration camp regime. Masks when you leave your seat/table? Yes, understood and no problem adhering to the rules. It's respect for the staff and patrons to follow those rules.

Can I say, home away from home? You just feel the warmth the minute you walk in the door. I have been a member for over 18yrs! And I plan to continue being one for life. There's so much about this place that means much more than just a hangout. Charity events and dinners where 100% of the proceeds are donated. And all of our bartenders are 100% volunteers that donate their time and service for no pay, except the tips they receive from fellow patrons. We are Not a Veterans type organization. We Are "People Helping People"!! And in the over 18 years that I have been a member, a volunteer, and a fundraiser, I have had the privilege to see it all first hand. And it makes a person, like myself, feel so proud to be a part of such a kind-hearted and dedicated group of people, that Work So Hard and Volunteer Their Time, to help...

Great place with a more local hole in the wall vibe. You do need a membership or be a guest of a member to patron. The members are of all ages and are all good people. Drink prices are very reasonable and the bartenders are very nice. I recommend Kat's Tuesday night tacos, for only 8 bucks you get two good size tacos, chips, refried beans and a dessert.
