I recently visited Sayulitas, based on a recommendation from my brother, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations!
First and foremost, let's talk about the food. I ordered the burrito, and let me tell you, it was massive! The portion size was so generous that I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I ended up enjoying it for two meals, and it was just as delicious the second time around. The flavors were authentic, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. It's safe to say that this burrito ranks among the best I've ever had.
My friend opted for the rolled tacos, and they were an absolute hit. He couldn't stop raving about them!
Though I had a bit of trouble finding parking out front, I discovered that there were more parking spaces available on the side. So, if you're planning a visit, don't let the front parking situation discourage you. Trust me, it's worth the effort.
The service was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and patient while I looked over the long menu. Their warm personality added to the overall positive vibe of the place.
One thing worth mentioning is that they offer Mexican Coca Cola, which is a unique treat. While I didn't buy it myself due to the higher price compared to regular soda, it's fantastic to see them catering to those who appreciate the best soda ever. It is in a glass bottle so I can see why it is expensive.
Thanks to my brother's recommendation, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. The flavors, the portion sizes, and the overall experience were...
Read moreThis burrito is nothing short of a flavor explosion. Packed to the brim, it's a hefty creation that demands both hands and maybe a little determination. At the heart of it is tender, well-seasoned carne asada, grilled to smoky perfection. The meat is juicy and bold, anchoring the burrito with savory depth. Then comes the guacamole rich and creamy with just the right balance of lime, cilantro, and chunks of ripe avocado. It adds a fresh, cool contrast to the warm carne asada, and ties in beautifully with the rest of the ingredients. But the real curveball? Lumpia crispy, golden Filipino spring rolls tucked right into the burrito. It’s unexpected, but it works. The crunch of the lumpia adds texture, while the slight sweetness of its filling brings an intriguing balance to the savory core.
On the side, you’ve got fresh salsa and chips, which act like the perfect encore. The salsa is bright, zesty, and clearly house-made none of that jarred stuff here. It's a perfect dip for the crisp tortilla chips and a palate refresher between massive burrito bites.
This dish is a mashup of cultures and flavors that surprisingly harmonize. It's not just food it’s a full-on experience. Definitely a 10/10 Bring an appetite, an open mind, and maybe a nap...
Read moreI’ve been here so many times before they have Fantastic food really big burritos unfortunately I don’t like that. You have to serve your own salsa. I don’t think that’s necessary when the burritos are more than $20 already. I don’t mind paying, but I shouldn’t have to pay as much and have to pour my own salsa. I just called to place an order I was trying to say hello and then I got hung up on after literally two seconds you would think a place would want business might hang up on you when you’re trying to place the order. I’ll be eating somewhere else tonight. Maybe I’ll give them another. Try on a couple months again the last time I went there, they messed up an order and didn’t wanna admit. They took the wrong order. Basically blame me. I hate posting something this negative but the truth has to be posted. I’m sure plenty of people have had a great service going in and out. perhaps work...
