GameStop — Attraction in Sarasota

Everyone knows pokemon is crazy now so I come in today and actually find surging sparks on the shelf so I grab 10 packs and wait in line to check out. After waiting on the guy at the counter to gawk at some kids pokemon slabs they are just showing off and then even longer while he tries to sell the other people in front of me useless insurance on a controller I finally get to the counter to check out just to be told there is a limit of 5 on pokemon sleeved packs when there is no sign stating this and no where on line does it state any limits. Just know there were plenty of packs left on the shelf as well. I work a full time job every day and don't get the opportunity all the scalpers get to buy packs and clean out the shelves just to jack up these rediculous prices. Needless to say I put everything back and walked out. I have been a pro member for quite a long time and have spent 1000s of dollars with this store and company and this is rediculous. You know very well people are allowed to walk out with way more than 5 packs of cards especially when they are being tucked out the back door. Only good employee working here is Emilio, everyone else is always super unhelpful and dismissive. I have been coming at least once a week since the spiderman ps4 dropped asking for when preorders for the Kingdom Hearts ps4 would start being taken. Every time I go in they would say they didn't know. When it finally drops, with no heads up from gamestop, I'm told the phones were down and/or they were too busy to answer and all the ps4s are gone and to check online but when you check online it says check in store. This is frickin ridiculous and just shows why gamestop is failing, most everyone who works there does not know anything and are only there to collect their paycheck. This is now the third issue of this magnitude that I have had with this location, from terrible employees to losing preorders (I put down 30 on spiderman collectors edition only to be told they had no record of it). Worst Gamestop Ever. Manager Lisa openly admited she takes all the exclusives and limited quantities of collectibles for her self. Waited in line for 2 hours for her to tell me that she bought all of the pop I was there for for herself. She didn't even have the decency to let all of us in line know that the pop was not in stock and that she bought it all for herself until they opened. She should wait outside like everyone else like every other retail store does for exclusives. Completely not fair to the collectors to have Managers clearing out inventory to sell on the secondary market for personal gain. With managers like this Maybe this is the reason why Gamestop is closing stores, because they run off all the customers and only care about themselves and not the company they Work for Andy customers that shop there.
