Villa Montalvo Gardens — Attraction in Saratoga

Very picturesque gardens and walk around the estate. Sculptures placed around the garden and estate give it a rich look. The small cactus garden is also quite nice and colourful. Everwhere there are plaques with the names of the different variety of plants as also near the sculptures mentioning the sculptor and name of the artwork. The place looks pretty enough. Lots of mosquitoes unfortunately due to tthe standing water in the ponds/ fountains. Lots of traffic, pretty loud overall. Students were just trying to take a few photos, and the staff yelled at us. Short guy with lots of tattoos, really un professionals and sarcastic. As the teacher, he was way rude. Beautiful place to walk to enjoy the gardens and lovely historic mansion. Don’t miss the mountain trails behind and around the villa also. Bring your picnic too!! Great art in the gardens and indoors also when there is an open exhibition. Very clean restrooms. Dogs allowed on leash so remember to bring those little blue bags!! It is a ‘go to place’ for me...
