The trail to the east from lot is paved and nearly straight and level. Great place for someone learning to bicycle. There are a few benches along the trail. Once you pass the residential area there are wetlands with wildlife. Saw a weasel, some quail, cedar waxwings, geese, herons, egrets, cranes, redtail hawks, and harriers. The paved parking lot is free. The restrooms were well maintained and fairly clean. They have flush toilets and sinks, but no paper towels. Just the disease spreading hand dryers. There are a few benches and picnic tables around the parking lot. There is a bicycle repair station. There are a few benches along the trail. There are outhouses at the Chapman Landing Park parking area and the park itself. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail. Bags and trash cans for picking up after your dog are provided at various locations along the trail. Google maps took us to a trail access inside a mobile home park, so be careful. You'll want the parking lot on Crown Zellerbach Rd. The trail continues at least to the Chapman Landing Park. A gravel road continues past, but it is not posted...
