Finished up work a little early on our last day and decided to go for a quick walk on the trail. The volunteers/staff here are amazing. As we were walking along the trail Maureen came up and asked if we had any questions. From there we had an impromptu tour from Maureen with all these cool random facts about the trees and the park. She was even able to pull out a banana slug from a secret spot to show us. As we were near the end of the trail we ran into Clare who told us about the mutant redwood. Another treasure trove of information.

Parking was $10. The park wasn't busy at all. The trail is almost entirely smooth and flat but there are some roots protruding from the ground here n there. I think the restrooms are currently under construction so they have some porta potties on site.

Would definitely recommend you stop by if you've got a couple...

Unforgettable experience! We were looking for something to fill out our final afternoon in California, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect end to our trip!

The California redwoods are something on everyone's travel bucket list and the Redwood Grove Loop Trail is a great way for everyone of all ages to be able to experience. The trail is less than a mile long with lots of benches and places to stop, almost inviting you to take a leisurely slow walk to soak it all in. There are free guide trails (donations encouraged) that give explanations for marked points of interest on the trail. Make sure you take your time and take lots of great pictures if you're out-of-towners like us; the memories from the sights you see will stay with you...

The Redwood Grove Loop Trail is a short yet stunning hike that showcases some of the most impressive redwoods in the area. My family and I enjoyed the easy, well-marked path, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the towering trees. The trail is perfect for families and casual hikers, offering a peaceful and accessible way to experience the redwoods.

Highlights include the "Mother" and "Father" trees, which are among the largest in the grove. The trail's proximity to the visitor center makes it a convenient starting point for exploring the rest of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. If you're looking for a quick and rewarding nature walk, the Redwood Grove Loop Trail is a...

This redwood loop trail is the perfect way to get outside and enjoy a little nature without any strenuous hiking. The trail is well maintained and has you right in the middle of the redwood trees at pretty much all times. If you get lucky you may catch a squirrel running around nibbling on some food or even a banana slug slinking along the ground. At times it's so quiet on the trail, the sounds of only the leaves rustling and birds chirping are all you hear. Of course it is right next to Roaring Camp Railroad, so every so often you hear the sounds of the train, but it really only adds to the experience.
