The Google directions on getting here can be a little confusing but it's well worth the hassle. I've seen many different types of animals here rabbits, quails and even a rattlesnake watch where you step lol 😆 anyways just such a wonderful place to hike with lots of intermediate and beginner trails definitely recommend if you want to try somewhere new to hike.

Update: I hiked Javelina Trail today (1 year ago today I also hiked it) Today was more eventful with the wildlife we encountered. Be careful when hiking and be vigilant snakes are sharing the path with you! lol This was one of my favorite trail hikes. Beautiful cactus and flowers in bloom, beautiful spring weather and no snake sightings.

The GPS took us to a gate. But we asked and found out where to park and the trail starts before the gate. It took us an hour. Most of the trail is paved. Watch for a small sign that says closed dusk to dawn. That is where the rocky trail starts to take you to the top of a hill with good views.

NOT A PUBLIC TRAIL, trailhead starts on Karen Dr within a GATED housing/business complex/community. The obviously inexperienced guard at the gate refused us entry and claimed not to know about ANY trailheads in this community. Don’t waste your time. NOT 24-HOURS and DEFINITELY NOT A PUBLIC TRAIL and they make it abundantly clear that if you are NOT a resident of this particular little tract of housing, you are definitely NOT WELCOME HERE. Perhaps they should NOT list and advertise their trail as a public hiking trail that is open 24-hours...

This moderate level hike is highly rocky but well maintained. It is common to see families with young children and dogs and it is well attended by retirees. Views of the valleys, passes and hills provide plenty of locations for photos. Nature exhibits and varied walking trails make it easy to pick what is best for you. Wear proper hiking shoes for the best experience. Highly recommended for outdoor types with good...
