Looking for a stroller-friendly trail in Scottsdale? This is a great option for beginners, families, and anyone wanting an accessible desert walk. 📍The Javelina Trail is one of the best paved trails in the area. It’s a smooth 3-mile loop with gentle elevation, wide paved paths, and beautiful desert views. I parked at the playground and crossed the crosswalk to get to the trailhead. Keep in mind there are no restrooms or waterline water fountains. ✨The inclines can be a bit tough while pushing a stroller, but it eases up after the halfway point and the views are SO worth it! 📲I recommend using the AllTrails app to locate the trailhead and help you stay on the right route. There are a few connecting trails that could throw you off course. #10000steps #strollerfriendlytrail #arizonawithkids #scottsdale #javalinatrail

The Google directions on getting here can be a little confusing but it's well worth the hassle. I've seen many different types of animals here rabbits, quails and even a rattlesnake watch where you step lol 😆 anyways just such a wonderful place to hike with lots of intermediate and beginner trails definitely recommend if you want to try somewhere new to hike.

Update: I hiked Javelina Trail today (1 year ago today I also hiked it) Today was more eventful with the wildlife we encountered. Be careful when hiking and be vigilant snakes are sharing the path with you! lol This was one of my favorite trail hikes. Beautiful cactus and flowers in bloom, beautiful spring weather and no snake sightings.

NOT A PUBLIC TRAIL, trailhead starts on Karen Dr within a GATED housing/business complex/community. The obviously inexperienced guard at the gate refused us entry and claimed not to know about ANY trailheads in this community. Don’t waste your time. NOT 24-HOURS and DEFINITELY NOT A PUBLIC TRAIL and they make it abundantly clear that if you are NOT a resident of this particular little tract of housing, you are definitely NOT WELCOME HERE. Perhaps they should NOT list and advertise their trail as a public hiking trail that is open 24-hours...

This moderate level hike is highly rocky but well maintained. It is common to see families with young children and dogs and it is well attended by retirees. Views of the valleys, passes and hills provide plenty of locations for photos. Nature exhibits and varied walking trails make it easy to pick what is best for you. Wear proper hiking shoes for the best experience. Highly recommended for outdoor types with good...
