I was really looking forward to trying this place, and I have to say, the overall vibe of the place was fantastic. It has such an amazing atmosphere, making it a great spot for parents looking to catch up with friends or just enjoy a quiet moment with a good cup of coffee. However, my experience with the service unfortunately didn’t match the ambiance.
When I first arrived, I was meeting a friend and didn’t order right away. When I let the barista know, she simply stared at me for a while before slamming her hands on the counter and saying, “Well, let me know when you’re ready.” It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
When I did place my order, I asked for a recommendation, hoping to get some insight on what they do best, but the response was completely disinterested and dismissive. It felt like the employee had no interest in engaging or helping customers. On top of that, she spent a significant amount of time on her phone behind the counter, despite a sign directly behind her listing tasks to complete when there were no orders.
It’s disappointing because this coffee shop has so much potential—the space itself is beautiful and clearly well thought out. I truly hope this was just an off day because I’d love to come back and enjoy the space with...
Read moreAwesome place. I strolled by a couple of months ago during the quarantine, while walking my dog, like other business they were closed. I kind of forgot about this place until I saw the sign on the corner. I popped in to grab a latte before heading to the dog park Friday morning. There wasn't any patrons there and the barista was awesome! I strolled around while she made my coffee. I don't have kids, however, this would definitely be a spot to bring them while being able to enjoy the morning. This morning I stop by on my way home to grab a latte for my wife and myself, with some pastries of course, there were some kids playing in their play area. This place is refreshing, while I hate to warn you... The coffee is delicious and the pastries are screaming!!! The staff are friendly as well! I hope Café au Plait grows to be our community staple. Having the young work staff will encourage positive growth core structure for the community. Welcome to the community and wish you a long and...
Read moreI don’t understand the good reviews? My friend and I took our almost 2 year old daughters here to get out of the heat and grab a nice coffee. My friends latte was lukewarm and the barista only offered to add hot milk versus remake it when she told her. How do you even make a lukewarm latte?
The play area had some wooden kitchen, laundry and tool bench areas but there were no toys to go with them—what are they supposed to do other than open and close the wooden fridge door? No pretend food, tools, etc. completely barren. There were about 8 bins of random wooden blocks and magnatiles, all completely beat up and dirty. Not even our 2 toddlers could find anything to entertain themselves. They looked at us like “why are we here?” So we left and went to a...
