The reviews are fake. My mother lives here. Cockroaches once every couple months. They come spray within a week of calling about it, but it continues to happen. The grounds are dirty. I wish I was making this up, but there was a condom on the sidewalk outside her door for days. Whyyy? Always bags of garbage and pet droppings outside people's doors. The back of the complex is exactly where I'd go if I was homeless and trying to do drugs/sleep (they do, be careful walking to the dumpster at night). Sprinklers in front douse your car with hard water that's difficult to get off if you park in the only decent parking lot. People park in the fire lanes, motorcycles on sidewalks daily for a year now. Clearly management doesn't care as long as they're collecting rent. Walls are paper thin. It's not the worst place but I'm here to balance out the fake reviews. The laundry facility and pool are just fine, nothing to complain about. Gym is a treadmill, stair machine, and dumbells. There is a machine similar to a bowflex, but people stole the attachments for the handles and they have not been replaced in weeks, may never be. If you must live in Scottsdale, Aya is alright. Just look around some more, I've lived in two other places in the area and I can't say these things about...
Read moreI recently stayed here through Airbnb for a conference and wanted access to the pool. I found out that obtaining a key required going to the office, paying a deposit, and signing some paperwork. Normally, this kind of process frustrates me, but Jasmine, the onsite manager, completely changed my experience.
I happened to stop by while she was on lunch and was about to leave when she called out to me, âHey there! I can help you!â She had come back 20 minutes early from her break just to assist me. She took the time to explain the policy, made the process quick and easy, and got me on my way with a key in hand.
What impressed me most happened shortly after. While I was outside, I noticed some neighborhood kids call out to her, âHey, Jasmine!â She greeted each of them by name and genuinely asked how they were doing. From their interactions, it was clear they thought the world of herâand for good reason.
Owners, if you monitor these reviews, give this woman a raise or a promotion. As a small business owner myself, Iâm always looking for âthe right people,â and Jasmine is exactly thatâhardworking, personable, professional, and always going above and beyond. If I ever open a business in this area, Iâll be reaching out to Jasmine about a career.

Read moreI've lived in a handful of different apartments in Phoenix for the last 7 years, and Aya Scottsdale is my favorite. I may have only been here 2 months, but have had a wonderful experience so far.
The apartments are clean and have a good design. The neighbors are quiet and respectful and oddly enough, pretty diverse. I've seen young, old and inbetween and everyone gets along. Also, the area is fairly quiet as well. Plus, we're next to the 101 which is convenient for travel and surprisingly not very noisey-I hardly ever hear any traffic.
Also, in my opinion, the best price you can find in South Scottsdale and you get your money's worth.
My only "let down": which is a small one, is that they don't have bike racks, just a bike room. But it's filled with abandoned bikes. However, not many people ride a bicycle like I do , and all in all, not a big deal.
Without question, definitely recommend these apartments. The staff Kris and Meisa are outgoing, patient and accommodating!
P.S. Super dog friendly, my doggy loves it here. (:
Update: Almost a year has passed since I've done this review - just wanted to mention I've renewed my lease here. Still...
