The really great thing about this park is that it is out of the way and generally devoid of people. Not many people come here at all, I would guess mostly because there's really nothing else around that many people would find interesting. It's mostly a commercial/industrial part of town, no residential nearby, and this park was once a part of the shipping terminals that used to line the Duwamish River. The land was reclaimed and it is still something of a work in progress as a site being returned back to it original and left to go somewhat wild. So rarely when I'm there do I see families or groups of people having a barbecue. It is usually just other single men strolling the paths and perhaps walking there dogs (it's an off-leash area).
