I was ecstatic to learn a small-biz café was opening within walking distance from my house, and even happier to find out that the shop fits my cozy criteria. The space is warm, inviting, and homey with beautiful Eritrean artwork and stained glass from the original build.
Upon our first visit (03/08/25), we were treated like family and offered a Eritrean "Buna" coffee experience free of charge and complete with a homemade popcorn side. The coffee was strong and fresh, as was the popcorn.
I visited again today (03/12/25) and while the front-of-house was different, the excellent customer service was consistent and I noticed that they had stocked their fridges with food. I grabbed an Americano and was very happy with my drink. I frequent a lot of coffeeshops and would say the pricing was fair (I did receive a discount for a reusable cup) compared to other Seattle establishments.
While I have yet to try the food and other espresso drinks, I'm so excited to become a regular patron of Hagosa's House! I'm certain they will become a staple of our...
Read moreMy kids like this place. We made a lot of stops for drinks at the old Bubbles, on their way to their grandma's. I guess for nostalgic reasons, my youngest always wants to stop here for some hot chocolate. We wish they had Italian sodas or some non caffeine option for the little ones other than hot chocolate.
Their paper coffee cups, I am not a fan of them. The lids are never staying on, and I've had to get the car detailed after spills due to the paper lid not staying on. I just get a shot of expresso at this point to save the mess.
They also have prepackaged food available such as sandwiches, which they can heat up for you.
We've always been greeted by friendly smiles. It's a cozy little place to enjoy your drinks while you read a book, study, or like us a quick stop for some caffeine.
Also, while technically a first floor, there are steps leading up to the door and no ramp, kind of hard to find...
Read moreAdorable little coffee shop with great service! I am pregnant and was panicked when my blood sugar suddenly dropped while I was on a walk with my dog. I felt faint, and looked up and saw Hagosa House, which must be brand new as I walk this route frequently. Quite literally shaking I walked in and the staff was so friendly - they got me a glass of water right away and I then ordered a sugary coffee and a pastry. They were so sweet and even gave a pup-cup to my massive dog. The coffee (ice mocha) and food (almond pinwheel) were delicious. I love that there is a new small business in the neighborhood and will be a...
