I worked in Seattle for 8 years, drove past this park daily and never knew it was here.... They have 2 parking spots right next to the water specifically for kayak and canoes to unload. I appreciate that because carrying my kayak isn't very fun. The area is quiet and offers a unique perspective on the shipling industry in Seattle

This is our secret slice of heaven, hidden away in a heavily industrialized area. Don't get in the water, don't let your dogs get in the water, and as there is no outdoor lighting here to assist with wildlife recovery, I recommend not coming here alone after dark.

There are a couple picnic tables and a trash can. No bathrooms and no water. It's a good place to launch a canoe or kayak if you want to paddle the lower Duwamish or around Harbor Island or Kellogg Island. Usually a fairly quiet place.

This place is a gem. I had to give it some sort of rating thus the 3 stars, actually I make it a 5. I'm not going to share too much as I feel protective of this spot admidst a place of industry. If you do find yourself here enjoy the wildlife and their habitat. Diagonal is a rare and unique space with a diverse setting on the busy Duwamish at the end of a road that accesses storage for hundreds, if not more, cargo containers and the security entrance to a Federal building. Most think they have made a wrong turn onto a Dead End and pull back out, but that's...
