Atmosphere was awesome! Great Walk around took approximately 2 hrs. too explore. Plus it extended another 1hr. going to Lake Manoor. Stopped there and turned around due to closure of Park & Rec's rules. Closed til 8:00pm! Have to obey the rules given or they will completely shut the park down. Long walk to the parked vehicles, only allowed disability personnel to have privilege to park. Regular civilians have to park on the streets due to Covid-19. The pandemic is real, there are many signs saying keep moving forward. We could walk, seen people with skateboard, bicycles, tricycle, roller blading around the whole park. Around the whole park approx. 2 hrs. Around the house toward Lake Manoor another hour or so. Very pleasant, beautiful and much much cooler than North Seattle Green Lake. Closer to many fishermen around the pier. Wild Geese, Wild Rabbits, seen birds, an owl and many other tiny creatures roaming around the park. Very Beautiful. Also at the end there are restrooms around the park. Only one open is at the main entrance with nice playground park for the children. There a beach, but off limits til, this pandemic gets resolve. Over all, nice place for casual walks, walk with Family, with pets as long as they have a leash, definte plus, running and/ or jogging....

Why should you go to this park?
If you like nature. If you enjoy being by the water. If you have kids and wish to take them to a playground. If you appreciate a place with decent bathrooms and water fountains. If you wish take a dip in the water and don’t have a pool at home.
Seward park has the trifecta of being next to a massive bay (Andrew’s) and you can go for a swim, has a fun path the leads to a small forest preserve, and has a playground where you also enjoy a picnic. Meanwhile there’s a great view of Mt. Rainier!
From my humble perspective and being a midwesterner, this park was a gift.
It does seem to be popular so parking may be tricky. We found parking without too much trouble. We did go before noon so perhaps that’s why.
Tip: bring a blanket, picnic supplies, and swimming trunks on a hot day.
Also the path to the forest can be found from the playground. It’s a really unique and fun...
