A lovely little community Park featuring a magnificent flight of steps which some consider to be great exercise! On site there is a placard teaching about the history of the architect and his wife who obsessed over these grounds and then donated them to the city. Instead of taking the sidewalk and the stairs, consider taking the winding path of the Hill which is really pleasant and affords multiple resting spots and wonderful views. You'll see plants there, native and non-native, which are remarkable including fauna with enormous leaves. I can just imagine dinosaurs eating those once...

Highly recommend this garden if you want a good butt kicker of a stair climb during your jog, for the beautiful views of the SLU, or a quiet walking spot in the Cap Hill neighborhood. Beautifully embedded in the residential area, this garden is tricky to spot from street view but a true gem to find. I love the variety of landscape and plants incorporated into the gardens. The roped areas, paths, and stairs make it a unique experience for all - each walk offers a different perspective of the...

It's a beautiful private park. Not a place to go crazy skateboard, picnics etc. as it's very small. You blink an eye and you'll miss it.

More for magical enchanting quietude: good place to have a cup of tea or read a book. Perfect for over 50+ crowd.

Stairway is amazing but not recommended if you have issues w taking 80 stairs up and down.

Thank you Streisser Family for this lovely gem for us that remember what a real garden...

Discovered a “secret” bench here in April and absolutely fell in love with the place. In spring, it feels like you’re stumbling upon a treasure. The paths up near 10th, off the stairs, are probably best explored by the sure-footed in sturdy footwear, however.

Tiny hillside switchbacked network of garden paths. Pretty overgrown in May, but in a Secret Garden kind of way and very pretty. Loud traffic from all angles. Parking tight on the dead end street, I parked at the top of the hill and walked down.
