This place is a little slice of heaven. Outside of the conservatory itself, the entire park is stunning. Inside there's an entry fee of $4 for an adult and $2 for a child. The building and the plants are so magnificent that you don't ever know where to look. Take your time! The seemingly endless layers of textures and colors are awe inspiring. Very carefully curated. There's a perfectly quaint little gift shop tucked into one side. Today they had an orchid sale. The people holding the sale were informative and friendly. The plants for sale were of excellent quality. There were only two very minor downsides. One is that the walkways inside are narrow which makes maneuvering wheelchairs and strollers a challenge. The second is that the little ticket machine is dated and takes a bit of patience. Regardless, it is still very worth the trip. I highly...

Tickets are fairly inexpensive ($6 for adults) and you pay at a self service kiosk. There is a person at the front door.

Read moreEvery visit is the best six bucks I’ve spent in any given day/week/month. It’s a quaint and beautiful greenhouse filled plants of all kinds. You’ll find cacti, bird-of-paradise, ancient plants, tropical plants, flowers that look like they’re from another planet, and more! My favorite are the pitcher plants—one of which is native to Washington. This is a place to calm yourself by escaping into the beauty of life. During the holidays, this is also a place of great cheer.
Staff are always friendly and some of the volunteers are very knowledgeable about plants, enhancing the experience further. The gift shop is also very cute.
You will not regret a visit here. It’s such a pleasant addition to Volunteer Park and Seattle as a whole.
Tip 1: it’s free on the first Thursday of every month.
Tip 2: DO NOT touch the cacti....
