March 31, 2018 My mother just ended her month's rental at property located at 18320 Gulf Boulevard, San Remo Suite #207, Redington Shores, Florida. They were timely in their processing of her contract and collection of her $8,000.00+ monthly rent for this three bedroom unit. What they failed to inform her was that her unit was next to the pump & elevator machine room. The constant noise of the elevator running all day and night made the third bedroom uninhabitable, and affected sleep in the whole unit. I do not mean a "ding ding." The sound was unbearable and the vibration rattled dishes, furniture, etc. The noise was so loud that you could feel it in your chest - like when someone turns up the bass too loud. DO NOT rent in this building or from this agency. The tenant in #307 vacated early for this same reason. There were numerous complaints from others in the entire building. The rental agency was called out to the building, but did nothing - their rent had already been collected. I am asking that my elderly mother be compensated not only for her anxiety and discomfort, but also for the fact that the third bedroom was completely uninhabitable. While this issue may be a structural, there should have been full disclosure in her contract.Shame on them. Terri Erickson April 5, 2018 THIS EDIT IS IN RESPONSE to the owner's rebuttal to my review. When this unit was inspected last year for OUR 2018 rental, the ELEVATOR noise was not determined to be a problem because the elevator has to be in use for it to occur. Therefore, if the elevator is not running at the time you are there, you cannot hear it. Since my mother was sleeping in the front bedroom and is hard of hearing, the source of the noise was not fully brought to her attention until her first guests arrived on 3-10-2018. Believe me, if I or any one of my siblings names were on the lease agreement, we would have been at your office door on March 1st. Since my mother is so much of a lady, we had to convince her after many sleepless nights to contact your office. She also agreed to contact your office after finding out that the renters in the unit above her were vacating and there was a legitimate complaint. I was a guest at this unit from 3-10-2018 until 3-20-2018 and there was not any effort on the owners or the rental agencys part to address or correct this problem. My siblings stayed until 3-31-2018 and can also verify this information. This noise was not construction noise in another unit (despite what the owner tries to say), but rather elevator noise that shook and rattled the entire unit to an unbearable degree (note: brother is an electrical engineer, so I think he knows what he is talking about). Also, I find it odd that the rental agreement for unit #204 has it written in THEIR contract that elevator noise would be heard. Yes, we do discuss these issues poolside. I simply cannot believe that this elevator noise was not disclosed in her contract and that you state that no one knew about it. Shame on you again. Renters beware! Do not lease San Remo unit #207 or #307 at 18320 Gulf Boulevard, Redington Shores, Florida. After, and only after the owner rectifies this situation with my mother will I remove this and my Yelp review. ...

UNREASONABLE and UNTRUTHFUL MANAGEMENT: I contacted DONNA from Sandy Beach Rentals on the day we left. She informed me that she couldn't help me with a refund and that I should contact a manager on a business day.
I did what was recommended and called Sandy Beach Vacation rentals. I talked to a receptionist and explained the situation. She put me on the line with the manager, and her name was.....DONNA!
DONNA is a manager (maybe owner?) Donna lied about her role in the company and chose not to offer any recompense. I remained calm and tried to plea my case. No refund of any kind is being offered.
During the conversation, she minimized each complaint and my situation. She offered no help and asked me if I expected her to pay it out of her pocket. She then hung up on me.
Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE! For a few hundred bucks more, you can get a nice hotel on the beach with all...
Read moreSmall units to stay in at The Sea Rocket but right on the beach. Prices have skyrocketed. Our rent went up a lot this year but next year it has raised $1276.00 for only 35 nights. Won’t be reserving!!!!! Dear Sandy Beach: I feel I need to respond to your comment “we have bent over backwards for you”. We have never ask you to bend over backwards for us in all the years we have stayed at the Sea Rocket. For instance, this year we were without hot water for several days, and unlike others that complained daily to you, we never called. We just knew that you would try to get the problem fixed. Or for two maybe three years the sewage was backed up at the Sea Rocket and was coming into the bathtubs in several units, including ours. You never got a call from us, like you did from others, because again, we knew you would try to get the problem fixed. I would probably say we bent over backwards for you for not putting these complaints on the review. Instead we have always praised you for making our stay at the Sea Rocket enjoyable. The increased rates, you explained , but perhaps you and the owners need to know, and you must, that some renters have found new places, and some have decided to not stay as long, because of the high prices. I am saddened to know that our long time relationship is no longer valued because of a one time low star rating. We started booking from Sandy Beach when you were just starting out and were small. Don’t let customers drop down on your ladder of success just because of stars. We always have wished you success and still do today. Sincerely, Doug &...
