I first found this shop online two years ago and ordered some materials, not knowing that it was physically only a half hour away from my sister's house in NE Ohio. When I went to visit her shortly thereafter, I visited the shop and was blown away by the yarn variety in terms of colors, gauges, and fibers. All the employees were very helpful -- I'm allergic to wool, so I often have to find substitutes for patterns -- and they even wound a number of skeins for me that I'd purchased from another online store.
Their online experience is just as wonderful as the in-shop experience: the site is easy to navigate, the search function is accurate, and the purchasing process is simple. The shipping is also reasonably priced and VERY fast -- I ordered some yarn & needles from them on Friday and I got my package today (Monday)!

Read moreA fabulous and fun yarn shop!!! The selection is phenomenal—abundant and varied, and the staff is friendly and knowledgable! One of the things I love about this shop are the sample garments to show how a fiber looks knitted or crocheted up—so helpful! And of course, as the name denotes, knitters and crocheters are welcome to sit and work on their project or just chat with other knitters/crocheters. It’s a community building place. I prefer shopping for my knitting and crocheting supplies at local yarn shops rather than the big box craft stores, and Around the Table Yarns is one of the best in...
