Cross contamination!!! So I always order from this place typically online however this was my first time in a while going to the physical location. I ordered the quesabarrias And the cook immediately put them on the grill a moment later he opened up a drawer that had raw meat in the drawer along with cheese. he took out the raw meat with his hands raw chicken in this case with his hands and threw it on the grill the entire time I watched him to see if he would touch anything else instead of changing his gloves. he did not change his gloves and he wiped his hands with the black gloves on on a that was on the counter. he proceeded to flip the raw chicken over using two spatulas with the same spatulas he picked up my food and put it in the box so there were two instances of possible cross-contamination when he didn’t replace his gloves with new gloves after touching the raw chicken and the spatula to touch the raw chicken and then touch my fully cooked food. the same gloves on and it was only after I had spoken to the cashier about wanting a order that he went in the back and got new spatulas. during this time in some of the other workers and they all begin to stare at me speaking in Spanish which I could pick up some basic words and were speaking about me because I had a problem with him saying spatula that he use for the raw chicken. I am very happy that I have not gotten sick before from their food as I have gone to them multiple times I’ve also worked in the food industry five different jobs and never has it been OK to use the same tools that you use for wall food with cooked food or touching raw food with your hand or your gloves without washing your hands or replacing the gloves hopefully other people will take notice to when they are cooking in case they do that to them as well it could be after eating their food sometimes I do have an upset stomach I just figured maybe I over eight but now seeing after today it could be food poisoning and apparently they need to prevent food poisoning I go back again and the same thing I will be calling someone to help figure out this issue as this can cause someone else to be...
Read moreI go often to Cilantro Taqueria but my last experience with this restaurant was upsetting. I attended the restaurant with my two children. I ordered our meal which included a kids meal and a small drink. I also asked for two water cups. I know the two single water cups is equivalent to the amount of the small soft drink. I spilt the beverage between the two children since this restaurant does not carry a "kids" drink. I only consume water. As my daughter was filling up her clear cup, an employee walked past and noticed that she was filling the water cup with a juice product. I can understand why he may of assumed that she was "stealing a beverage". As she was pouring her drink, the male extended his arm in attempt to stop her but he stopped himself when he saw me. Again, he did not say anything but smiled. As I walked to the counter, to request spoons, the man at register seemed annoyed with this request. I ignored it because I know he was busy and he had to leave the counter to grab me a spoon. As he grabbed the spoons for me, he verbalized " m'am the drinks are not free". I hesitated to respond because I wasn't sure why he was making that comment being that he was the one that calculated my meal at the register which included the drink. Obviously, if I purchased a drink from you, I know that the beverages were not free. The fact that he made an assumption was annoying but I understand most people aren't critical thinkers but he didn't even apologize for the assumptions. I understand there is a barrier with the language but I was so offended he accused me of stealing. I think they need an in-service on how to address people appropriately and making an accusation is offensive. I have spent my money here and as i try to enjoy my food, i get accused of stealing. It made the experience...
Read moreMy wife and I came to this taqueria and the hospitality was terrible. The server at the front counter would not assist us in any way when we asked questions. For example my wife asked what goes on the nachos and he replied vaguely anything you like. So my wife being discourage asked for 3 tacos instead. She only got 2 of the 3 she ordered. I also asked for three tacos with rice and beans on the side the cook put both items in tacos. I asked for fresh jalapeños and a different cook questioned me and then rolled his eyes at me because I asked for something that was not presently stocked on his line, so he cut 3/4in slices and just threw them on with out any care that I was watching. On top of that we ordered chicken fingers for my daughter and they came out burned. To put everything in short, the level of hospitality was extremely low and we were the only group in the restaurant at the time. I wish I took pictures of how bad each item came out. So we packed up quickly and went next door to donatos. we will not be returning to this taqueria due to the terrible experience and over priced tacos. Being a chef personally I know one customer is not going to make the difference in the way your restaurant operates but our experience was terrible so I hope no one else has the...
