Called, asked if it was too late to rent a suit for an event Friday just after they opened. I was told no problem, they should be able to help me, a jacket would be hard if I was bigger. Drove quite a distance, came in, asked to be set up with a rental for friday, I was met with attitude, telling me they need at least two weeks. They could get me one Friday if I purchased, not rented, one.
Leaves me wondering, was the person on the phone wrong, or was this an attempt to up sell me?
No matter, traveled to a big box, was taken care of for Friday.
Edit: Even if I hadn't asked to rent, which I did, you'll notice they didn't address the attitude I received in the store? They didn't say "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't get you a rental suit in that time frame. We have a line of suits that are affordable", they could have also said something like "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't get you a rental suit in that time frame. If you check with X, Y, or Z they might be able to help you out." all of which could have been followed up with "I'm sorry we couldn't help you this time." and I would have maybe been willing to try again.
The truth is, the he said, she said bits here don't matter. Sort their reviews lowest rating, to highest, and see how much attitude, and how incredibly poor they treat other customers. Shocking....
Read moreI went to Bill's Toggery the week before my wedding after another place ordered the wrong vest for me. Zach Graff (spelling hopefully is right) helped my out as soon as I walked in the door and listened to what I was looking for compared to the photos that I showed him of what I had received. He had me try on sizes and told me that they did not have the color that I was looking for but made a phone call to another place and checked with them.
Turns out the other place (who I am not mentioning because this is about the service that Zach provided me) had the vest I wanted and Zach placed a hold on it for me and I drove over and got it. This was the best customer service I have received during our wedding planning as he was focused on making sure that I got exactly what I wanted and not just trying to sell me something because they had it in stock.
I wish I would have started at Bill's Toggery and I know I absolutely will go to them with any future needs I have. I would 100% recommend going to Bill's Toggery for any clothing needs you have. I am sure that all of their workers are great but Zach Graff specifically killed it when he was working with me. Thank...
Read moreI was referred to this store by a former Minnesota Viking player several years ago but I hadn't gone until this year. I needed a three piece suit and it's an utter pain finding suits that are my size; I'm a 6XL Long and land in the odd sizes. Not only did Bill's Toggery have what I needed but they have a top notch tailor to boot. These people really made my day!
If you are a big guy up to 6XL they'll have your size, whether it be suits, sport jackets, polos, and much more. They've got what you need and want. If you're a size larger than this, they can special order it.
While the prices a bit higher than other locations that I been, the other stores didn't have tailoring services and didn't pay close attention to detail like Bill's Toggery does.
The location, it's really easy to get to, I'd recommend turning on 1st street off of Highway 101/169, then turn left on to Lewis St. South. By driving down this street they come up on the right and they're just before the railroad tracks, you can't miss them.
Another selling point is that they have an onsite dry cleaners that can handle suits, blazers and anything else that need special care. It's truly a...
