This is not just for the beach but for the Parkâs policy as well. Itâs Saturday 10:30 and the beach is closed. Open noon to 6. Are you serious???! The hottest time of the day. I donât want my toddler to be exposed to the sun in the hottest hours. By the way, NO information about hours of operation posted on the gate of the beach or here in Google. There is a shaded picnic area close by with the sandy entrance into the water, supposedly for kayaks and pedal boards. And if you let your kid splash there, at ankle depth, a police officer will come to tell you that you cannot even touch the water here. Why not? No lifeguard on duty... If someone goes out on the lake in the kayak without swimming skills, he assumes the responsibility for his safety, so why is it not the same thing for anyone wishing to swim off the bank??? Itâs ridiculous. Another explanation is that itâs ONLY for kayaks and such... another ridiculous one. Because people can talk to each other and manage to let the kayaks and such enter and then continue swimming. Besides there are more entrances around the marina area that the kayaks, boards and boats can use. So why police this area so heavily instead of letting people manage it themselves? We are not imbeciles, SMPL. But the way things are now - beach is closed, you canât touch water elsewhere, parents with little kids end up to be discriminated out of the park as there is nothing else for us to do here!!! This...
Read moreSo disappointing. I had this lake/beach saved for awhile and finally made the drive to learn that, not only does this beach cost $7-9 for nonresidents, neither the beach or anywhere on the lake do they allow for any sort of inflatables or rafts, permits are required for paddle boards and rentals have only 1 hours times and must be rented at the times they delegate or you pay full price for less than an hour. :( After trying any way to enjoy the lake we were met with some strict rule preventing us from enjoying the beautiful lake. The beach itself is tiny and without allowing inflates its not worth the charge just to get in the water... For a more enjoyable time, find...
Read moreLake was very nice, but we just came a week ago, and there was several inflatables around the lake, and when we went today, we brought some with us, and they told us we couldnât have them here. And when we were standing to the side, we heard a crew and their manager talking about how they just didnât feel like dealing with inflatables this weekend, and that they just didnât care how many customers they lost over it. Clearly the staff here donât give a damn about anything but themselves. Wonât be...
