Ok, for those looking to fish. You have to have the state fishing license, but that's not good enough. You then also have to have the JOCO's fishing permit. Once you have that, park management does NOTHING to facilitate fishing. At all.
Fishing reports used to be very good. Now they contain about as much information about fishing conditions as I can get looking out my window at the grass grow. Park Police used to patrol on the regular to ensure everybody was playing nice. I haven't seen a single one of them this year.
Kayakers have the entire lake, but no, they feel a need to dominate the shore line. If you manage to find a spot to fish, within 5 minutes some inconsiderate Karens will paddle over to block it and then sit there on their kayaks talking to one another. Pack up to leave, and they paddle away. Thought it was a one-time fluke. Nope. It's like clockwork. Every. Single. Time. And I'm not the only one. Others trying to fish had to keep moving due to this. I'm trying to fish with my kid and don't have that luxury.

There's plenty of place for the best view and you can nap under a tree, eat sandwiches and drink soda. We also went boating. It's $10/30 mins. A Lil expensive I felt but the experience was worth it.
