Honestly,
This place should get shut down. I decided to give it another chance after a year since I found out they were selling expired items. I went in yesterday and purchased some stuff and samosa’s. Mind you, this was around 10:30am so not long after they opened. My partner right away noticed that one of the snack items was expired. The gentlemen at the counter tried to argue that the date was mm/dd/yyyy when imported items from India are labeled dd/mm/yyyy. He ended up taking the return. Then, before purchasing the samosa’s I asked the guy if they were fresh and he said yes. Well, when we came home and ate them. Instantly we knew that they were refried. My partner and I go so sick and started vomiting. This place is horrible and over priced. The owner loves to argue that he doesn’t sell expired items also. Indian sweets and spices used to be my go to since childhood but since the old owners sold the shop, it’s never been the same. Shame on...
Read moreI bought a whole goat/meat from them. When I cooked it some peaces tasted like rotten. The second time I prepared the meat to cook, I noticed that some peaces are of different color (like blue). I am convinced they mixed old and new meat in the same box. I am going to report them to King county health department.
It amazes me how several reviewer(s) are reviewing my review rather than reviewing the place itself. How easy it is to have a friend to write a favorable review, or have many accounts to do the same. this does not change the fact the meat is rotten. For those recommending I return the meat, I say if the owner refunding me for the rotten meat then they get half of it. A $75, if not then they should shut it and stop misleading people. Write me back and I will go with you to the store and see what the owner will do, so write me back or shut it...
Read moreI've been shopping here for years, as it's nearby. Tonight I needed some onions. Ringing them up I noticed he was charging me for red onions, not yellow, and assuming it was a mistake I mentioned it. He acted like he didn't understand, then when I repeated myself he told me they were red onions.
I have a hard time believing a grocer who has worked the till there for years doesn't know red from yellow onions. He just stared at me, so I walked back to the groceries and picked up a red onion. He STILL didn't fix the item, and said mine were red until he walked back to the groceries and I showed him the price.
It's very hard for me to imagine he doesn't know the difference. I have no idea if this is a common thing I never noticed before, or maybe he didn't like my Jewish necklace. I don't believeit was a mistake because instead of fixing it with an apology he was...
