I have not had internet since hurricane Helene . I work from home and I have 2 Spectrum business accounts. It has been 19 days since myself and hundreds of my neighbors have been without Spectrum Services. My internet services are essential for my quality of life. If I do not have internet I cannot work. If I cannot work then I will not receive pay. Now it has been 19 days with no pay. I won’t be able to buy milk or bread because I do not have any money. We received texts from Spectrum on multiple occasions that our services would be available by 2pm one day, 3:30 a different day. Then they sent messages that we would have service restored by today. Then, We received a message a few days ago that everyone’s services in our area would be back up and running by today Wednesday October 16th. Lastly, I received two texts yesterday one at 3:25 PM and one at 6:45 PM stating : Spectrum Business Service Alert: The outage that was affecting your service is now resolved. Thank you for your patience.
When I called into business services the spectrum customer service rep had no empathy and spoke over me the entire cal, which was recorded. I am appalled at the lack of communication from Spectrum to their customers during a difficult time. They are sending notifications that services will be restored over and over but we are still down. I’m very disappointed to be receiving such poor communication and customer service from a so called “communication services company”.
All of Spectrum’s competitors in my area have had their customers up and running within a couple of days. Why is it taking Spectrum weeks to resolve their issues. They need actions to back up all of these Spectrum commercials we have to watch every day. ...
Read moreGreat pricing during the initial sign up but after the promotional period, price becomes too expensive. Internet speeds are intermittent and at times shuts down. It takes multiple calls and at times a technician to come out, nothing gets down but a couple resets down on charters end and the speed comes back. I regularly reset modem and router every two weeks to keep unnecessary data from slowing down Internet speed. I have had charter for 9 years now and I truly dislike them and their service. If I lived in an area that offered anything other than DSL I would switch. I currently haven't had Internet for 2 weeks and no one wants to talk about when I will get Internet back but yet they happily take my money yet avoid any talks about when I will get service.
If you have a choice, do not choose spectrum. They do not care if you have been a long term customer. They treat their new customers better.
They do not fully tell you how their Internet speeds work. I pay for 500mb/s but typically receive 20-100mb/s. This is with no other wireless items on the system. It usually takes me calling and asking why my speeds are so slow for them to fix the issue. I'm tired of the back and forth. These rates are extremely high for an increasing world where technology is getting better...
Read moreSo I canceled my service and needed to return the modem. I didn't make an appointment online (not like it would have mattered). I sign in at the kiosk, sit down and wait. A few other people come in and sign in. I got the text saying it was my turn and the representative said Jessica. Well there was 2 Jessica's, instead of reading off the whole name he just said Jessica. Well the other Jessica went up. I sat there for a minute to see if anyone would notice. They didn't. So I walked up , put my modem on the counter, told the representative that I already canceled and it was actually my turn and all I was doing was returning the property. He said I said "Jessica" I told him he did but there was 2 and it was actually my turn. He said he would process the...
