Mediocrity.
Pros: Our server was attentive and polite and the portion sizes were large.
Cons: Unusually long wait for food, mediocre tasting food, undercooked pizza and my wife got sick to her stomach after dinner.
I eat out to taste something special, or for convenience, and this place had neither.
Nothing Special: The 4 items we ate were mediocre in taste and utterly unimpressive. We ordered a whole pepperoni pizza and some eggplant parmesan which came with a salad and 2 garlic knots. There was no heart, no soul and no passion in anything which came from the kitchen.
Not Convenient: It took 45 minutes to the first bite of our food. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant at 6:15 on a Friday. Had the place been busy, I would have understood the delay. But 10 people (half of whom were already eating) shouldn't back up a kitchen. They did have 1 lady pick up 2 pies as a to go order, but still. It's Friday and the dinner rush is about to begin so your kitchen better know how to hustle.
Pizza: I ordered a whole pie, rather than a slice. Pizza by the slice is hit or miss and I wanted to give the place a fair shake. The dough in the middle of the pie was only half cooked. The cheese was of good quality and the pepperoni was nothing special, just your standard pepperoni that comes on nearly every pizza. The pizza at Costco is just as good as this place and costs half as much. The 16" pepperoni pizza was 16 or 17 dollars. A little pricey for a simple pie, but not expensive.
The salad was a basic handful of iceberg lettuce tossed onto a plate. The dressing was a prepackaged in an individual metallic bag like you get on an airplane. I forget the brand of dressing but it was good, just nothing special. The salad was no better than what one would receive in economy or business class on an airplane.
The eggplant parmesan was a waste. Neither my wife, myself or our kids liked it. Watery sauce with almost no flavor. It was just wrong. We've had better frozen eggplant...
Read moreThis place is just disappointing all around, the bar seems lively and enjoyable if you're looking for a place to have a few good tap beers. Beyond that everything else is lack luster. The customer service is non existent, the people barely even spoke to me other than to give me a total and take payment. Only friendly person was the bartender who came over to put my order together and make sure I was taken care of(after standing there waiting for 15 minutes in front of the other employees). All that said...the worst part of this place is the food. We've always been disappointed and usually take a few months off before we give it another try, but it fails to please every single time. Everything we ordered was either overcooked, over sauced, or over seasoned(not in a good way). The only satisfactory item we ordered was the antipasto salad(which was fresh enough and well put together). The wings were bland of salt and pepper yet overwhelming in Italian seasoning...plus they we're severely over fried and possibly a little spoiled(we did not finish them). The pizza was acceptable, but completely oversauced so bad that the cheese just fell off, there was far too much crust to toppings ratio, and the worst part was the sauce itself. Their "tomato" sauce tastes scorched and once again wayyyyy too much Italian seasoning(some fresh basil or a little oregano is nice, but a mouthful of dried herbs is not pleasant in my opinion). Lastly, the "garlic knots" were nothing more than dough baked into rolls, no pull apart action, no sopping roasted garlic butter, basically just dry bread with a little cheese sprinkle and borderline burnt on top. Bottom line...if you're looking for a good spot to get some beers and watch some sports, then by all means go check this place out. If you're hungry and looking for good Italian/American cuisine...save yourself the disappointment and...
Read moreDana, Alex, and Tony the owner were all amazing and welcoming! This was our first time in here, both new to the Simpsonville/ Greenville area and Full House was on our list suggested by locals. Great people and great food... but hang on... not just great food... BIG PORTIONS! My fiancé and I ordered garlic knots to start, we thought little knots... nope these were 6 HUGE rolls of delicious garlicky goodness served with the best marinara sauce ever!!! It was so flavorful I could sit there and just eat the knots with the sauce. And that sauce goes on their subs and Chicken Parmesan, which I will be going back to try because I KNOW that sauce and a chicken Parm would be excellent 🤌 But then, our slices of pizza... yes you can get pizza by the slice... came in, Huge! And dang dang good! And someone ordered a pizza... y'all, that thing was huge! I said the whole time I was there, "They don't want you to leave hungry!" Listen Some reviews said there was little servers, but ya know what, it happens. The people there work their butts off and the food is dang good! So blah to the negative people and Cheers to Full House! We will be back and again, Thank you to everyone there that made it welcoming! Great place and so happy it's here! Y'all...
