Last night I placed a large online order and at 7:30pm while I was waiting for it (they close at 10) I went to the counter to look at which treats were available. After waiting at the counter for about 4 minutes while three employees were talking to each other, I saw that the treats available behind the glass were just about all out. But as I was waiting, someone brought a 6’ tall rolling cart of about 20+ trays of freshly made baked goods. I couldn’t believe my luck. When one of the three employees behind the counter finally acknowledged me, I asked if I could choose something from the trays that had just been rolled out. The two younger girls looked at the gentleman Jason for a response and he said “no, those are for tomorrow”. And I said ok, but could I buy any of them today since they’re literally right there. To which he curtly replied “nope”. Now maybe this is a Panera-wide rule that they make all the treats the night before (we’re eating the day-olds every day I guess) but I have to say it’s pretty poor customer service if it’s also a Panera-wide rule to refuse to sell the treats customers can plainly see. I go to Panera a lot. But adding this to the last 3 times I’ve made online orders that turned out to be wrong and I had to make a trip all the way back to the store to make it right and was answered with a “sorry”, and no “what can I do to make your trip all the way back here worth it to you?” I’m pretty much done with returning to this location. It’s a pretty building though. And clean inside. I’ve never gotten sick from the food so that’s good. They’re just seriously lacking customer...
Read moreI do not think this establishment deserves 1 star , it actually deserves 0 stars I placed my order at 1:25 pm , a simple order : 1 cookie , vegan broth bowl, ice tea . The restaurant was busy , the staff was working . All employees were working , however my to go order never came . At 1:45 after I had checked 3 time yes 3 times on my broth bowl it was not ready. Over 10 people including bigger orders that came after me received their orders and left. I still waited patiently . At 1:45 I asked one older lady who was assisting the orders with the names as they came up . She informed me I could get a refund from the register after I explained I needed to leave to get back to work. I went to the register and the check out girl was great she was the same who I placed my order with . She was surprised I didn’t have my order yet . Another mgr went to see about my order , then came back and said she would refund me the bowl . Yes the bowl , the drink and cookie I had was still charged for . There was no explanation or any additional soups even offered in its place . The line who was preparing the food DID see me standing there for over 20 min and did not make any effort to ask me what I was waiting for .i left for work with NO lunch and no time to get anything else . Read moreI order takeout fairly often, and have noticed that many Panera locations offer considerably smaller portions than when dining in. That isn't the case at this location. My cup of soup was more than halfway full, and that in and of itself is impressive. My salad was fresh and tasty. The staff, for the most part was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was greeted by a young woman who seemed to be cleaning up in the dining room, and when I picked up my order she even asked me to make sure everything looked right! That is a genuinely positive and helpful attitude that is great to see. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the manager, a larger in stature man behind the counter, seemed deeply unhappy, even rolling his eyes as I came in (they weren't busy by any stretch of the imagination). I had been hiking earlier, so I may not have looked my best. Makes me wonder if he may judge people on appearance. That isn't a good look for any company, and I would just like to see such positive employees supported by a positive member of management. I also work in the food industry in management, so I do acknowledge that we all have bad days.
