Back 9 MX — Attraction in Smithfield Township

We have a camper permanently at a campground about half a mile from the track (and have been here 40 years) as do about 100 other campers (mostly with kids) not to mention many tenters each weekend. It’s supposed to be a peaceful, quiet, nature escape in the woods/mountains centered around kids enjoying nature. Now each weekend all we hear all day is dirt bike engines. It ruins the peaceful nature. I can’t imagine how the dozens of houses that live even closer to it feel. If I were one of the people who live here I’d be doing something about it. A real shame.

I understand businesses need a place to be - but how would you feel if your business suddenly couldn’t offer a main component of its service simply because some other business moved in next door?

It’s too bad the owner’s response appears to be “get lost” instead of maybe something else.

Awesome club run by a family with a love of the sport. People who dreamed about riding on a golf course as children converting an abandoned resort into a destination for motocross lovers. My husband and I love our local Back 9 MX track. The track is so fun for him to ride on. I love how they get local food trucks in on weekends as well! This is the absolute best place to have in the Poconos, it allows people to get outside and get some exercise and have some fun.
